  Excellent explanation. At first I thought it was too ambitious for an unqualified self cutter with a long history of doing my own curly short-medium length, fine hair with scissors that are a little blunt! But I did it. Hair still air drying so looking forwards to seeing the end result! Might go back to tweak tomorrow. Thank you for tutoring us.

  Okay, maybe it is just my curl pattern, but "slide cutting/ feathering/ zipper cutting" wrecks my curls and makes them frizz in a poodle poof. With a curl pattern that likes to be in little groups of friend hairs that have a similar curl pattern, what cutting style creates little clusters in the hair? Sorry, does that make sense?😅

  I live in South Florida. I can't find any salon that has different techniques in cutting curly hair. I show the pictures of the style I want but dissatisfied of the results. If any one who knows of a hair stylist in my region & are happy, pls. let us curly girls know.

  I do this on myself and after I have a guide I'll travel it back and layer the "inside", she is doing a weaving technique I do a 90 to get more volume as my hair is thinning.

  How does one explain this to a hairdresser? I have really curly hair a lot curlier then our gorgeous model here lol But it’s really fine, especially in the front/top of my scalp. So my curls look nice once dry… for the most part. But the front and top are so thin/fine they have like nothing holding it together. If that makes sense lol idk it’s hard to explain. It just looks like a bunch of fly always because there isn’t enough hair to give it any volume so it just hangs there. I use (prescription oral minoxidil from my dermatologist) to help make it fuller again. but yeah I don’t know if it’s helping. And I just want a cute cut so I can actually wear my curls. Right now I wear it in buns pulled back. Or if I do wear it curly I have to pull the top back in cute little clips. If I wear it in a side part the top layers are so short it looks weird.

  THIS IS THE CUT IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR FOREVER ❤️❤️❤️. I am 61 years old and need this cut. How do I find a stylist to do this. DO YOU LIVE IN NC 😂. I would book right now.
