Nah, you wanna do assassination and destroy x pirate missions. I operate out of Duamta, it typically sends me to Luytens star, wolf 359 etc. Neighboring systems. Because I'm at max friendship with all the mission giving factions in Duamta, and aligned with Hudson, and Elite combat rating, the payouts ate nuts. I'll fill my missions with assassinate and destroy x pirate missions and by the time I return to cash out, the payouts from the missions themselves and the bounty vouchers from the authority contact can be in the hundreds of millions. I once made over a billion on a run. Took a couple hours.

How many "experienced" fighters versus "green" fighters would we be expecting on the field? (Asking as an SCA, DAG, and Darkon vet of 20+ years)
@phantomzero241316 күн бұрын
There has been a decent corps of pretty good foam fighters, there's also some martial artists, armored combat fighters, etc. Though as stated in the video everyone no matter how much they may be able to actually roll a field, all players should be playing to lift other fighters, and with a focus on theatrical combat. Doesn't mean you have to lose a fight you'd know you'd win, but allowing someone to lose strongly, or let them go to fight another day is something to consider. Obviously after safety we want everyone to be having fun, and wanting to come back again next year, otherwise the game won't grow.

I'm maybe a couple of weeks back to the game, and one fun thing you can do to make this extra profitable is to take on Wing missions and hang out at Res sites, if you've got time to burn. I took on a mission that had me ordered to kill around 40 pirates, and in about a couple of hours at a RES site solo I'd chewed through the required kills and basically made 10 mil, with the only expenses being to reload on ammo for multicannons.

How excellent! I remember seeing your older video a few months ago before committing to coming to the fest as a first timer I went to find it again and here you are making a new one! I’ll be coming as a Healer Carpenter Skaven in Shadow so I’ll have to see if I can come to your class! I come from Amtgard so being reminded of the calls and that it’s all theatrical is great to know. I’ll try to keep an ear out for more info about your class

Definitely took us a bit of adjustment but its honestly been such a blast, honestly my preferred larp combat style now. Still love a good quick boffer match here and there but playing up strikes and rolling around is just so much fun. I hope its the same for you. As for the class were aiming for a few hours before opening ceremony to try and catch the most people.

6:34 Turning on your NV would help a lot there… not to mention putting 4 pips to ENG to turn quick, get on his back then place your pips elsewhere. I notice when he is facing you that you didn’t put pips to SYS which would save you most likely if he were to open up on you.

I bought the same saber with the longer and heftier "yelman" blade, gotta say it's a pleasure to use perfect if you do HEMA or any historical fencing alike, what I also like is that the blade is very rigid while maintaining a normal LARP flex you expect, this allows you to do twirls and moulinates easier and the blade feel a lot quicker and responsive, also the other part I like about Fakesteel sword is the functional guard, in this case the upper part both front and back is very rigid and allows you to parry and redirect blows, overall 9/10 considering it's very sturdy, well balanced and historical accurate, doesn't cost a lot compared to other quality swords like calimacil considering that you can also customise the sword

Thank you for this clarification! I am hoping to be able to make it to Drachenfest in 2024 as I only learned about the fest this year too late to attempt to attend. But as a character, in the construction stages so far, who will likely only be with 2 hp and no armor combat will be likely something the healer/artisan will like to avoid. But hey as a Skaven that would fit well with the character! I just hope I'm able to keep making progress on the design to be able to make it and have a grand ol time :)

you can try with only 2 medium burst laser. They can strip a sidewinder shields in less than 10 flat. I have a fer-de-lance named THE FACE MELTER. with 2 medium gimbled burst lasers, 2 medium gimbled multi-cannons and 1 huge gimbled multi-cannon. It can destroy a sidewinder in seconds.

Amazing review. I've been dying to get to know their weapons more, especially for the Quebec larp scene. The only thing i am dying to see is how their new softer foam on swords and sabers stands on our standards. But if the base is comparable to calimacil with the bonus of being properly balanced, i can rest assured. Would you be willing to do a subsequent video to review its life-cycle of wear and tear?
