Hey John, Why don't you update your weather station to a Pi Pico W board and add a few new things to it. The panel should be able to handle the power for it and a 6Volt battery.

So if I don't have internet in my house but have it on my phone through my phone company, I am guessing that I will not receive a signal on this unless I put it in Bluetooth mode from my phone, would that be correct? So I would have to run my phone battery in order to get a signal?

These were sold in the USA too and I was a big fan of it… I am pretty sure it was a USA version of the magazine. One of the .net issues in the 1990s had an article on unique computer desks… they had photos… one was a 1950s refrigerator converted to being a computer desk. Thanks for pointing me to this video after I commented on the IR1 test, John. Quite an interesting comparison you've made here. I regret that you haven't compared the sound from both radios, though. I have both of these and unlike you, I kind of prefer the Lemega. Why? it sounds better to my ageing ears. More treble. I find the Pure rather muffled. Apart from this, they're really similar but it turns out that I find the Lemega much more elegant too (I have the faux bois case / cream front panel varient) than the Pure (I have the white variant). Unless I've missed something, you don't tell why you think the Pure is thicker, do you? As for the updates, my Pure came with the V4.5.13 f/w, no update since then. It's still newer than the V4.1.8 on the Lemega indeed. Overall, I like these two radios a lot, but I have the same minor gripes with both of them: - no way to completely turn them off when on external power - FM stations are stored only with their frequencies, not the RDS names - only one time sync source can be active, e.g. no way to select network primary, DAB second which would come handy when you move the radio around BTW no issue on FM reception on either radio, but I live in a place that has good coverage. However they do better than my Amazon Basics branded FM/DAB+ radio.

Thanks for this good review. I've had this radio for a few days and I really like it so far. I don't have the same experience as yours in FM and DAB+, I find mine as sensitive as my Xhdata receiver in FM and no dropouts at all in DAB+ unlike with my Amazon brand kitchen radio. Do not believe this nonsense about Leavers being lied to/Russian bots/Cambridge Analytica/ it's silly, idiotic nonsense. The game changer was the 1992 Maastricht Treaty (when you were about 20) which converted free trade into political and federal union with Europe. Effectively the genie was out of the bottle as PM Major now pushed the new line of ''ever closer union''. We never agreed to this in 1975 and note, we never actually voted to JOIN the EU. Like Heath, Major pushed it through by deceit. Such a seismic shift as he played fast and loose with the constitution plus the ERM/Black Wednesday debacle which explains the core reason for the Conservatives GE annihilation in 1997. Major lost the dressing room and lost Middle England,...he stank the room out and it was entirely the fault of the left-liberal Liberal Democrat wing of the Tory party.

Firstly John, I would strongly direct you to an excellent 4-part series about the entire EEC/EU history made by the BBC in 1996...it's called...''The Poisoned Chalice'' on You Tube, especially the first two episodes. Many people never realised that the '75 vote was to ENDORSE the decision to go in....but this had already occurred via Parliament during 1971/2 when PM Ted Heath had to rely on opposition votes to get it into law. You will see in those first two episodes all sorts of trickery and chicanery to drive it through,...described by Tony Benn as ''a coup d'etat''.
