What was the cost difference between the EVA Foam and the Aqua Traction?
Depends on what your time to install the EVA is worth. The Aqua Traction was $30 a sq ft installed. My boat was about $1800 installed.
that EVA foam is a total mess after a few years and it gets brown stains everywhere. The company that sells this needs to be sued, seriously!
Sorry but livescope is trash. Perfect for people who cant catch fish the good old fashioned way. I hope the state bans it. Straight garbage.
😮
Hope you enjoy it while it last dude, you’re completely ruining the red fishing in the river, just keep this info to yourself.
I doubt it. Most fishermen don’t have the gear, the patience and most just fish the docks. I talk to a lot of them and they are frustrated can’t hook up. Thanks for watching though.
Jeff isn’t ruining anything, he’s producing outstanding content. It’s a huge river and these reds are consistently moving. I appreciate what you do Jeff.
When you're stupid.... ya better be tough!
When you get into these giant schools of reds do you usually see birds diving around the school?
No. Not lately. A couple years ago yes when they were eating shrimp. I’ve got video of that too.
You are definitely dialing in better than me. I don't have the hang of it. Trying to replicate your tactics isn't as easy as it sounds. I scanned for 3 hrs today and didn't see a fish. Finally blind casted one. I switched to perspective after seeing your success and now I just don't see fish. Also are you sure you can't record. I have the 106sv and I'm fairly sure it records screen to an SD
@@jeremy9925yeah as far as I can find only the GPSMap can record thru active captain “Helm”.
I believe finding these fish is just a lottery. I fish 5 days a week so my chances are better. I don’t think there’s any secrets.
How much does a live scan cost?
Nothing better!!
@@MarkMagnuson wait till you see the long version.
Great video, those are the days we live for as fishermen
That’s a tarpon not a largemouth bass buddy
@@JamesHutcherson-wl3wt I know. Seems more people enjoy large mouth bass for reasons I can’t figure out. Watch my tarpon videos. You’ll see why tarpon are far superior to bass. But bass draw a bigger audience.
@@JeffBattleFish ok
Im still yet to get one on. Marked a couple giant fish using side scan at epping forest yacht club saturday morning there was no bait in the area though anx it seemed like not alot going on. Beautiful video as always
Been looking around the river too. There here.
Is that a vudu croaker?
@@Velcrostraps91 crazy Croaker
Crazy croaker. Academy.com $3.99 for a two pack.
Do you think Goodbys Creek down to Trout Creek is as good as the ICW Palm Valley to Villano this time of year? You have completely restored my faith in the River. Outstanding work as always.
Way better.
There was no way in heck to get that one out of there! But you gotta love the thrill of having your lure thrown back you! (Or did he add it to the collection?) Either way you’ve got to love the vid! Thanks for another lesson!!
For sure! He shook the crazy croaker loose and I lost it. You can see it fall left of the piling.
5 x 32-38” reds today. Chasing big schools AGAIN!!!
@@JeffBattleFish came across a herd the other night. But I didn’t take a shot. Riding with my daughter. Still made me giggle.😄
Everything serves as a good example, some are just what NOT to do !! ......
Jen and I jumped/lost 4 last week 😅
Jeff, I took your advice and found a school of bulls for about 10 minutes in Drs Lake yesterday. Around 9AM they came to the surface near where I was. Ended up with 2 reds (one 35”+) 1 trout and 3 bass from the kayak. Tried to focus on dock lines and points near steep elevation changes.
That’s a great day. Congrats.
@@JeffBattleFish Thank you! Do you ever do guided trips?
Have Only done a few. I’m not a guide as guides go. Artificial only and I get skunked often.
Telling that lady "Mine's bigger than yours". LOL! Nice video.
Hey Jeff, at Battlefish I think you have one of the best fishing KZread channels on KZread oh and by the way, where can I buy one of those Battlefish hats 🧢
See me at the boat ramp or on the water. I’ll give you one. Where do you put in?
email me [email protected]
Hey Jeff, at Battlefish this is Aaron great content oh by the way, I’m catching Jack’s near the Buckman bridge and Moosehaven
Trying to email you. I don’t think it’s going thru.
@@JeffBattleFish yes I got it
I mean, how do adults not understand inertia.
Guana is too far away.
Jeff, I live about 10 minutes from the lakeshore boat ramp on doctors lake. I used to live in St Augustine and fish for redfish all the time. I sold my boat and had to get a kayak when I moved to Green Cove. I’m going to fish Drs lake in the morning, any tips on where/how to find redfish (or other salty species) in the lake? The river is much different from the marsh Im used to and I’m struggling to consistently find reds.
I’m on drs lake now. Looking for tarpon. Not seeing anything. Just fish along the dock lines. Not sure where reds are today.
@@JeffBattleFish 10-4 I will give it a shot, watch out for the rain
Ya should give Guana Lake on the other side of the dam a try if a kayak is your favorite way to go, fish the outflow and deeper spots more in the middle of a creek with a jighead soft plastic of sort. I also really like the creeks right now for Flounder, my favorite being feeder creeks right near larger deeper water that flows close to the rivers like the St. John’s and st Mary’s. Fish closer to the banks and grass lines early in the morn and then to deeper spots more middle of the creek when it’s middle of day to get your lure in front of those fish holding low to stay cool. Good luck
Finished watching this video at 6:40 PM on June 27. LOL. Nice day fishing!
love it. trying for mine this weekend!!
Jeff, I bought one of these too. What you're missing is you must remove the top and bottom Bezel. They just pop out. I used a 'drift pin punch' and gave bottom both sides and top both sides a bit of a rap. They popped out unbroken. Put the 4 nuts, bolts and washers thought the holes and was done. Maybe 20 minutes start to finish. Fishing the Tennessee River. No issues! Hope this helps!
Nice job Sonia! Save some for me!
Congrats Sonia
Great Jon at least it was a fun sized one. My wife got her first one this year , the fish was about 130. Thank You for the video.
Such a awesome fish, nice job!🎣🐖👏
Thanks 👍
Great video! Working on getting my mega life set up. Very soon!
They’re a game changer.
Nice MDX.
That livescope is something else🤙
Love to know how you mounted livescope transducer to pole? Is that PVC pole?
Yes. I” inside 1 1/4” pvc. I mounted it to my casting platform with SS u-bolts. It pivots for stowage. I really like the ability to spin around 360 fast. Send me email I’ll send some pics. [email protected]
So awesome I wonder if you threw a rig you could catch 2 or 3 at a time... Set the hook and hold on ...
I thought of that. They’d probably break free from each other. Even with 40 lb leader.
Hey Jeff, at Battlefish great content
Thank you. Please share with your buddy’s.
Where’s part 1? Debating on the purchase of Livescope can you do more video of the screen maybe?

Where would be the best place to find these? We are new to boating and this is the goal! Weve been up and down the st johns around the dames point and Matthews bridge
