FIRST® is a robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18 (PreK-12) that can be facilitated in school or in structured after-school programs. Boosted by a global support system of volunteers, educators, and sponsors that include over 200 of the Fortune 500 companies, teams operate under a signature set of FIRST Core Values to conduct research, fundraise, design, build, and showcase their achievements during annual challenges. An international not-for-profit organization founded by accomplished inventor Dean Kamen in 1989, FIRST has a proven impact on STEM learning, interest, and skill-building well beyond high school. Alumni of FIRST programs gain access to exclusive scholarships, internships, and other opportunities that create connections and open pathways to a wide variety of careers. Polaris is a serious Science Nerd, I LoVe it!
Incredible! Two cross-field shooters are simply mesmerizing...
What song plays from 0:00 to 1:30
I loved zone zeal and stack attack, was a stage team member both years, then was strategy team captain for first frenzy
Very cool! Next time I need mannequins I will contact you!
Funny & cool but woulda been so much better if you held your phone horizontally and not vertically the big black bars hide alot & are annoying
Yes! Please redo the challenge with your phone the right way.
FIRST. GET IT? LMAO.
My team! 1114!
It is really too bad that someone would purposely attack the system so that bots won't work...
what exactly happened in that year?
@@paulokhayat Someone DDOSed the Field Management System
"It's not enough!"
The memories D: I wish I was still in Highschool, My college has a robotics club but they don't compete with other schools. All we do is build small projects :(
I wish that I could have seen the building of the robot. Will they dribble next or slam dunk? Any way that is real cool.
Lol I find it funny that they replayed each match like 3 times... I lost track of what the hell was even going on.
It's best two out of three.. idk
This program had a tremendous impact on both of my kids, my son will be going to Mechanical Engineering and my daughter will be going into Software Engineering. This gives me the energy to inspired other kids in achieving their goals what ever it may be.
they had a working triple balance
im pretty sure 1114,2056,and 4334 could have won the champs
Honestly who knows, but as a member of 4334 today, and hearing about 2012, perhaps. Would have been great, but theres always the future
there was serious feild problems that year, all robots were disconnecting
It was not a field connection issue on FIRST's side, someone hacked into the system and purposefully disconnected the robots :(
SynthFrost The guy confessed and said he did it to show how unsecured things were with the robots. FIRST has fixed the security issues and permanently banned the guy from attending any FIRST event.
@LRK20 It's a good thing he pointed it out to them by hacking into the system and disconnecting robots during Einstein matches; if FIRST didn't know about the issue, someone might have hacked into the system and disconnected robots during Einstein matches, and that would have been a disaster.
what song is this
always good to see more engineers, this is good Adam Alamin Retired member of FTC Team 5298 Engineer, astrophysicist, and mathematician in training at NVCC Woodbridge Campus
Hottie!
Whoever disliked this video probably had their robot explode in the middle of a match or something
Allen Tan Or didnt qualify for the championships...
+Allen Tan Probable
its called hummer
I'm a member of 4977. Swerve robotics is an FTC team, but they did not have a swerve drive this year.
Lol the yellow team driver "aw dam"
Sweet, I saw our team in the video :)
This needs to be an official sport :D
Haha, a tie on match 129! These are all very good matches!
Swerve? were you FTC? I didn't spend much time in the pits as a driver/scout but I remember most FTC teams there. Did you guys have swerve drive and a mostly black pit?
FIRST is coming for the robots and staying for the relationships. I'm a team member on 4140 Fish in the Boat and I get chills whenever I watch this video. Honestly, FIRST means everything to me. Being at champs the past three years is the best thing I've ever done - not only from a technical standpoint but realizing that loving legos isn't something I have to stay in my basement with. FIRST is something you take places and do amazing things with. 2013 FTC Champs and not stopping there!
Such a great supporter!
There i am 1:47
Possibly the most obnoxious use of a ramp at 1:11:10. It worked, but I hated it.
Check out the amazingly sexy hairdos at 21:58
Aww man, dat sexy hair at 39:10
When I saw "break away" I expected a soccer ball to fly across the screen...
What an amazing moment it was!
