Revitalizing our old family farm into a dream permaculture homestead. I have a garden, food forest, blueberry patch, free range laying hens, and I raise and hunt meat all on our land. The goal is to grow all of our own food with as little outside inputs as possible as quickly as possible, and eventually have extra to sell.

Those aren’t wildflowers. I implore you to find a native flower mix. It will support your native pollinators.
Simple and easy gonna make me one thank you!
This comment is a sign for those intimidated by power tools. Go out and build it. No one is good at first but with each build you’ll get better. Measure twice cut once. You’ll be fine.
How many 2x4 did this take
fantastic, thank you very much for sharing
We’re in the Northwest and one of the tips that I learned from a man in the UK was to keep a compost bin inside the greenhouse for warmth. This may work for your bigger greenhouse
Great video thanks
Excellent. Thanks
Wow you really were into low cost, not even buying a hammer! 0:22 😀
Man that twinwall would work perfectly🎉. Thank you for the video
Did your asparagus make it the way you planted them??
Best help you can give a garden all those beautiful leaves. We have been creating a beautiful fruiting perennial garden, every fruit you can think and its just yr 4, and a awesome harvest, what a blessing
What would you suggest for high wind areas? I got a metal framed greenhouse kit but afraid to build it because our high winds. I saw a picture of one in this area and it was totally demolished due to wind. Our winds get up to 70mph.
This video is very helpful. Your voice is very sexy. ❤😅
The tool you were looking for on the door is a planer
I think the 6 mil plastic sheet versions would not hold up to the wind in my climate.
What degree angle were the rafters cut at
👌great idea! thanks for sharing
How much did it cost to build this? It looks great
❤ The A frame.
Hmmm I built using SABIC brand 10 mm thick 4 x8 Twinwall Lexan panels (not Free) With a Touted 10 year warranty . By the second summer the Crap turned yellow !! Apparently the makers' UV stability claim was BullShit. The supplier was incredulous.. initially unwilling to believe. Even the Maker claimed similar. Eventually... I received replacements.. Unsurprisingly 2 years later this batch as well.... has Yellowed. IMPRESSIVE indeed. Curiously some 1/4" coroplast panels. Albeit of 'green house grade' ~15$ for a 4 x 8 sheet have proven ~10 years UV stable.. Really cannot trust, let alone rely on the Brochure Babbles .. Kids.
Beautiful farm❤❤❤
You should never use treated lumber for a greenhouse. Leeching can cause the chemicals to end up in your soil. Use standard (not treated) lumber, and don't use typical tar pr paint. Use a silicone or acrylic-based coating (Ames roof coating or their Blue Max coating is great). Apply it to the boards after cutting to length and allow it to cure BEFORE you build/install.
Great work, what about a pyramid shape next. You can compare if it adds anything?! 👍🙏
Please explain what you mean by 6 mil plastic? Is that not 0.6mil? Or 600 micron? Cant be 6 mm ?
Do you have the a frame greenhouse supply list?
Seriously I hope they haven't jailed you for clearing your tree's 🤣 Hopefully your doing well miss your input...
Bought a pre-fab for a little over $100 and had it up in 2-3 hours. Filled my need !
Wow so amazing!!
Looks awesome! Great job. We love a Living Traditions as well very helpful! Thanks for your info
What did you do to make a living when first starting out? Before any youtube money
Is there an updated material list? Links aren’t working
What's the finished dimensions?
With the use of PVC it's hollow and rebar can be put inside the PVC for more strength .
Did you use treated or untreated lumber?
These are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing. And that rain water collecting system is super smart. I’m all about “lazy gardening.”
What kind of tarp did you use?
The mesh wire on the bottom defeats the main thing for a chicken tractor. They can’t scratch and get bugs and grass to eat. Just saying.😄
I do the same. Grass grows through it but the birds are still protected.
Fun fact for snow growers or Northern folks.....U can use Pam or Windshield RainX for the UV Plastic to make it super slick so the Snow and rain falls off more effectively.......Your Welcome🎉
Awesome work! Thanks for sharing! Where did you get those large black tarp things that you had laid over some garden beds? I’m looking for options myself but all I’m finding is very expensive, and I need as large of dimensions as possible. Thank you!
Framing looks good, but you sure as hell not going to make a video just on concrete tho 😅👍
Is it possible to build this hoop house on a slope?
Probably if you keep one side of the poles poles unbent. I'm not good enough at math to be able to figure out where the arch would be bent but you could probably dig it out.
Figure it out* not dig. Although some digging might have to be done, idk.
Great idea with the metal mesh at the bottom!

Sorghum is 10% protein
Black sunflower seeds are a good source of protein
I used the corrugated plastic panels and it does not last. It gets very brittle after a year or so and breaks very easy. I would not use it again and do not recommend it . Spend more and use better more durable plastic or used glass which I think is best and you can find on local ad sites for fairly cheap or free in some cases
Take a look at the Gothic Arch green house. Not expensive to build, Sheds snow easy, stand up to weather. Also, when you build your raised bed boxes, line the box with plastic, fill the bottom with river rock, about a foot deep, add a drain pipe just under a foot and then cover the rocks with gardening cloth, add a 4 inch pipe that stops at the river rock, fill the bed above the gardening cloth with a foot of wood chips and the remaining two foot with dirt. After that, fill the bottom with water till the drain begins to weep, plant your plants and forget about them. The plants will draw water from the bottom as needed and you shouldn't need to water again aka fill the bottom, unless the weather gets hot.
Piss poor video. For a beginner trying to learn to build a simple green house. No explanation given or description of process 😢
Im gonna make this but as a lid to a 4foot high chili pepper house
