I like elements of the mod, but by and large, I think it's too much. However, with that being said, I would like the interior lights, high and low beams, a radio and cassette player, and locking wheels on the vanilla game.

I like it but... what car in the last 50 years doesnt have a built in dipstick? Lets not clog the number of items to spawn if its not needed. The mod itself may be a bit much for pvp servers, i mean you shot off a door completely with 4 bullets? But for pve ones it would be great.

Limitations around what can be added as an accessory to the actual car will make that difficult. And tbh, this is actually more relevant, in my opinion, for PvP servers, places a lot more emphasis on having spares, etc and keeping your car in good condition. The sweaty boy PvP servers, hah, but average normal PvP servers, this is a great mod.

BI needs to accept that ARMA is 3x less popular than DayZ...and they need to let all the devs work on DayZ instead of forcing all of them to work on ARMA full time (and DayZ in the free time). But agree...vehicle and basebuilding update...would change the Endgame for DayZ forever for the better...

@@DayzedTransceiver i would want a small door option in vanilla. so you arent stuck with the big one... and also electric codelock, when it runs out of battery you have to change it and manually put in code to open door... gives good reason to pick up all the batterys on construction zombies.. :)

The only reason why DayZ is a thing...is because the DayZ ARMA mod became more popular than ARMA itself...and the owners of BI see DayZ as a cash grab. BI has more than 2 devs that they could allocate to the DayZ project...but they are reassigned and forced to work on ARMA reforger...since thats been the dream of the owner of BI...for ARMA to be popular. Not DayZ...they took 3 years to rotate the texture in the Sarka...which could be done in less than 30 seconds. Trying to defend that type of efficiency is hilarious...game industry or not...

I think this is very cool. Sure, itæs tedious, but in the right way - and it doesn't feel exaggerated. Unlike too many of DayZ's other features that promote that you have to keep things under control.

This mod compliments many of the vehicle mods available as well, I recently enjoyed playing with this mod on some of my offroading vehicles I've been creating and having these funtions/options/issues as the vehicle gets worn from the adventure is really immersive for the scenario. Agreed it would be a bit much for vanilla, but a very beautiful mod. Great demo Dude, GG.

Hell NO ! you can see what happened when they went overboard in scum. It's on the border of tedious in dayz right now. Going step above like they did in scum would TOTALLY disbalance everything and nobody would even bother with them at ALL. People are starting to ignore them in SCUM because of how tedious they've become. and that's a PVE game mostly.. guess how that goes in DayZ PvPvE environment... It should stay as a mod, for a modded server experience... RP and PvE....

I love the low beam / hi beam idea. I hope the detail is on point as Low beams are meant to shine under 6 feet so you can be around the car without going blind.

Its optimization. Or the lack of it. Most other driving games load you (the players), the cars, the roads, and 2D building decorations that make it look like you're in a 3D environment. DayZ loads everything...including the mushroom spawning 100 meters left of you, the 100 crates with all of its contents that you'll never see and be affected by...except more lag and glitching due to things loading in too late and server processing overload. We need something that turns off all loot and unnecessary stuff from loading in as you're driving. Optimization for driving would be the single biggest change the devs could ever make to driving...but its also one of the hardest and most time consuming things to do that devs usually only work on after they're done adding stuff to the game. With the addition of a new map and all the assests coming in 1.26 patch...I don't think a Vehicle Optimization patch will come anytime soon.
