Hi there, and Welcome to the Workshop!
We are Michael and Brooke Denault and we love sharing our love of making with the rest of our Maker Community.
Makers Workshop is a Makerspace in Massachusetts that includes a wood shop along with digital tools like CNC Routers, Laser Cutters, and a 3D Printer. At Makers Workshop we focus on projects that incorporate multiple processes and love sharing what we learn along the way to inspire you to make something too.
Subscribe to follow along with the builds we put together at our shop.

You should spend more money on expensive tools
Looked like a lot of work to break your ankle
Definitely her fault.
Your dog looks like my dog, except yours has a wider racing-stripe down her nose. Does she shed like a demon? Could you knit up a new dog from the hair in the vacuum cleaning bag?.
Good job on your enslaver lamp
I think the feet on the original were round, from the diagram shown on screen.
Stick some Roller skate wheels on it and you've got a proto-skateboard?
Such a fun project!! 👍👍👍
We used to stand on these when we played with yard dart on our lawn. God, we do miss our sister.
I see/saw what you did there.
I saw that title and I thought you were gluing loads of old magazines together to build something!!!
Shape the feet like rattle backs the if you lean the side it will rotate by falling onto the front outside quadrant of the foot that would be the only surface needs changing really
Super fun. Love the old toys.
Fr tho this is so underrated 😢😢
That’s!!! So cool!!!!! More people need to see this!!!
Thanks so much :)
Everything about this video is wonderful! The insteresting process of you making things with your laser accompanied by historical facts and good music!I like the effect of the laser engravings. I’ll subscribe if you make more things with your laser!
the lines look so sharp and clear, almost making the black parts appear raised as if they're 3d or something. looks great. i love that you can get all this going on without paint. i bet it smells good, too
I picked this up for engraving vork handles on vustom fishing rods I build. It does very well. Only downfall is theres no rotary tool out for it yet according to wainlux as of 6/26/24.
here's me and i saw the silvery bit and immediately thought R2D2 :) I bet this looks awesome!
Someone was hoping to match the hula hoop phenomenon and failed. They should have put skate wheels on it and cashed in big.
Can please reply big fan ❤❤❤
Of course! Hi 👋 👋👋 thanks so much for watching :)
What the hell is the point? You laminated them to a board and cut something. What?
It’s a handbag, just hasn’t been folded up yet :)
I love how old toys were extremely dangerous. "It's okay if she breaks her ankle. It'll build character."
I have a T- shirt that reads "I AM A WOODEN SPOON, LEAD PAINT, NO CAR SEAT, NO SEAT BELT, NO BIKE HELMET, PICKUP BED RIDING, GARDEN HOSE DRINKING SURVIVOR " Them wuz the days! 😊
@@T-bone1950 The trick with the garden hose, of course, was not to drink until you saw the bubble of air pop out.
Turned out great. Love the design - I wonder what George would think of the flying pig?
See, I personally think he’d love it bc Ham has long been an iconic product of Virginia. Served very often at Mount Vernon. Bacon too.
Really fun interpretation!
Thanks Dave ☺️
I was thinking the same thing as @SAstonfamily but instead of putting it under a glass thing, I think you should see it in resin and turn it into a coffee table
You are a fantastic team!
Great idea to transform images on lanterns. Thanks!
Cool idea. George Washington would be proud. : )
Thanks!
Frog tape needs to sponsor you! I love your inspiration for this. You have a great eye for design!
I love frog tape! It’s the best stuff for this kind of thing
this is really cool! three days on the vector - epic.. the flying pig and tossing the wood on the laser were great touches =) its really refreshing to see someone do something pro-american. all i ever see is usa hate =(
so fun! the wallpaper is such a smart inspiration to pull from
Came out great. Lift the candle a little?
Maybe. I suppose I could it up on a block or something
In the 1960's, government actually used tax money to do the road repairs the were levied for instead of social justice BS while now IGNORING their real jobs.
Would be a fantastic ceiling fan light
I remember walking on skateboards like this as a kid. Oddly enough, that was closer to the publishing date of the magazine than it is to today. If you'll excuse me, I need to take some ibuprofen for my back and knee pain.
Can you please make One for me and ship it to me please i live in suriname
NGL it looks like a ceiling fan. You might be able to make a low powered one with that same design. I think it would be interesting.
Ok but I want one of these! 🌼🖤🌼
Awesome idea!!!
Yes definitely use a heat gun on low settings and about a foot away at first til you see shrinkage. Keep it moving at all times.
you should have used more top and side layers, you can really see the infill after you only painted it.
A flat white background reflects/diffuses/enhances light better than a mirror-like background. Mirrors and lights only work together in a parabolic environment. For example disco ball or car head light.
Amazing ❤🎉
If you ever used a skateboard as a child, using a wibbler would be easy.
I bet this would be awesome for one's core.
I'd love one inna light that can change colors!
What was the solution you have sprayed the wood after the first sanding? When all the black pain is all over. Because after spraying and sanding again, the wood was so clean. Also what pain is the black one?
No pain, just CNCing. 😀
Oh. Maybe there’s a Chinese company out there that can do it better?…..
So pretty 😍😍😍😍😍
The first skateboards were made out of wobblers and roller skate wheels
