UPDATE: This may have originally been filmed on 7/20, but as I post this comment, Westchester Arc just wrapped up their time at Manhattanville College for the Summer, and Summer Enrichment 2023 will kick off its 7th week tomorrow. Westchester Arc will be at TOAC (Taconic Outdoor Education Center) starting tomorrow. When that clip was originally filmed, I had already left for the day due to an appointment, and here I am a couple of weeks later.

You have got me wondering about all kinds of savory oats. The overnight oats look good. What is the glycemic outlook for oats compared to rice and other grains?
It's fairly average for rolled oats compared to other whole grains, but glycemic index is just one small piece of the puzzle. Combining carbs (the less processed the better!) with protein and/or fat will slow down the release of sugar, as does the fiber wrapped up in a natural "package" of fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
