  Dear Bishop, I hate to address you with my small problem but I don’t know who else to talk to about my situation. I am Ruth Blackwell and I live in Akron, Ohio. My sister and I attended the convention in Baltimore. We were there from Tuesday through Friday. We flew there had no local transportation. We made arrangements with the transportation table that were in the lobby of the convention center to be taken to the airport on Friday at noon. We paid our money and she took down our both of our flight information. She had my phone number and my email address. We never heard anything from the transportation committee. After waiting 45 minutes, I called the number that was in the Christian Outlook and the gentleman answered who was on his way to the conversation center and said he would check with the transportation committee. He called me back and told me that they didn’t have any record of us making any plans with them. The man that I had talked to on the phone was nice enough to send a driver to take us to the airport. He didn’t charge us or anything. We did tip the driver. So things could have turned out badly but God came to our rescue. We didn’t know that there was more than 1 transportation committees. I would like to know what happened to our money and plans that we made with the transportation people in the lobby. Thank you

  Absolutely nobody has ever been saved by repenting of their sins. Absolutely nobody has ever been saved by giving their life to Christ. You don't receive a gift by giving anything for it. That is bartering your life for salvation and is a Satanic counterfeit gospel message. We are saved because He gave His life for us and we trust Him alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
