Used to see Jamie and Steve Hadley and Peter Jones and Rob Bourke do their "Coltrane thing" at the Green Man Cafe in Malvern in the early 80's -so it's bliss to hear this. Spoke to Jamie stoned at parties and he was a lovely guy. His Mind/Body/Split and Unconscious Collective stuff was also amazing. Hello Tom Fielding if you are still kicking pal.

Thanks, Dezzy - great to hear a live recording of the Cha band! It cuts out soon after the 4-minute mark, though. BTW there's an instrumental version of Lonely Man on the flipside of the 12-inch Walk On By single..

Des was a maniac and totally committed to the gig. Love you Des xxxx

I have got the jist of what they are saying but no idea what the context of what the sergeant said at the end lol I have come up with this idea that he is new to that precinct and they are pulling a prank on him on his first day haha Or am I overthinking it lol

If he accused me of telling porkies I'd make this geezer fall down the apples and pears. He'd be in a right two and eight. Even his trouble and strife wouldn't be able to recognize his boat race.
