Got a lot of 3 Macbook Pros (2 x 2011, 1 x 2010) to play with OCLP. Finally jumped in last night to install OCLP on one of the MBP 2011 to Ventura just so that it is stable. It runs nicer but here is where I stumbled on a few questions that I could not find in Google and wonder if you or anybody else got the same issue and have a solution. And would be nice if you have a future video for them. 1. Was able to make a backup of the OCLP Ventura using Time Machine. But if I reboot and go into Recovery Mode, Restore from Time Machine, it does not see this Ventura backup. Why is that? 2. Instead of going through all the steps again to install OCLP and configure my other MBP, I was trying to clone to another drive and put into the other MBP. Was able to use Disk Utility to clone it. But bootup does not work. Do I need to use the USB and install the EFI again from it?

I have this controller for my pi4 that’s on the main living room tv for the kids to play and it works perfect. Also use it with my Odin 2 max with the dock for vacations and hasn’t failed me.

when I was in high school the 500gb HDD on my macbook crapped out, and I went to a 256gb SSD + went up from 4gb to 8gb of ram. I was able to run Skyrim (albeit very poorly) through emulation during class!

I had the issue about the 100 trying to charge a 300 unit. I tried unplugging and replugging in MANY times and gave up. Every time it started to charge the 300 unit. Poor design if the solution is "keep trying".

I agree. There needs to be a better way. Luckily, some power stations I’ve been reviewing have 2 USB-C ports, and only one of the 2 are bidirectional. This way you know one is definitely going to be an output. Thanks for watching!

I have the mini 32 and the mini 42. The mini studio 42B works much better on a PC than an Apple device. If one reads the tech notes on the Tascam website they even explain why. The unit works on windows 11. If you run Mac OS through an emulator then everything will work because it sees windows first for the initial setup. Understand that this uses USB not USB 3

The ROG Ally has a 40wh battery, so in theory, this 99wh battery bank could charge it 2.5x. But you’ll lose some to conversion.

Im so happy to hear about your plex server. because at the moment my plex sever is on my sata internal stock HDD. Are you running your plex server now on this new NVMe ssd? Do you store all your videos, movies, etc also on that same ssd or on other external drives connected to the mac mini? Just trying to learn your system so I can replicate it and have a smoother plex experience. Thank you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My MacBook sat in my backpack unused because it was so slow. The Mac Guys quoted me $350 to speed it up a few years ago. I said it wasn't worth it. Thanks to your video I did it myself for less than $100. Already had the tools. I upgraded to a 1TB SSD and 16GB of RAM. I may install macOS Monterey and swap out the battery in the future.

My MacBook is for working out of the office. It's hard to justify the price of a new one when I'm only going to use it for a week or so every other month. There's nothing wrong with it beyond a few scratches and dents from dropping it in college 😅. We trash so much stuff. At least I can feel a tiny bit better about not trashing this too.

It may show Snow Leopard, which is the original version that model shipped with. But it can still be upgraded to High Sierra.

Perfect timing! I was looking for any reviews of this exact inverter for my Ego batteries and you posted this about an hour before I searched 🤣 I'm wondering if this would power a full size crock pot on the warm or low setting for keeping food warm at an outdoor party with no electrical outlets. I'd love to see this Sunmily company do a version of the 3000 watt Ego generator as well.

Check the wattage of your crock pot. A full size probably uses 200-500 depending on the setting. Also check out the EGO 400w Nexus. They have a $100 off promotion on Amazon if you buy $300 of select items. I think you could get the 400w Nexus and the 10k Lumen Light for about $200 after the discount. If you can use the light that’s probably a better deal than this inverter. Let me know if you have any more questions!
