Hello I have one question does stress concentration occur for a member under compression when there is sudden change in it's area

This should be really useful. One question though: Is there a way to change the range on the axes? The systems I typically look at have spec spanning to ~1kHz.

Thanks for the feedback. On the axes range I deliberately kept it small as a demonstration. But I will see if I can put a variable range in. I'm learning the creation tool, GeoGebra, as I go - so we will see!

Dear Sir, Snap back refers to a temporary deformation and does not indicate a structure's capacity to endure stress or loads in the long term. Therefore, relying solely on snap back results to determine a structure's capacity is not accurate; permanent deformation and overall structural integrity should be considered for a comprehensive assessment. In this case, can we ignore the effect of snap back?

What if the body is wide?? on a 20"x10" it takes 10" to achieve equilibrium. What would happen if you apply the same force on a 20"x20" body?? will it now take 20"? (that would be weird)

I have several programs in VB and VBA that use F:\ in the code. Windows changed the drive letters and I can't find how to search for the letter "F" followed by a colon and backslash in explorer.

Should not internal force at first half portion be in opposite direction than what it is shown in the video? I am unable to get that direction of internal force it Force F is applied at node 1 in positive x direction then the internal force should be generated in negative x direction to keep the body under the equilibrium. Am I missing something?

check out the force balance at 2:58. The convention is positive to the right. F1=-T F2 = T. Both rods are in equilibrium.

For anybody here trying to find out why theirs aren’t turning blue or etc, microsoft removed it since windows 10 1909, they changed it so you dont need it, basically, wanna find the file ending with .png then type it and it will only show .png files

Three things, for the link I had to use docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/lwef/-search-2x-wds-aqsreference and secondly it should be noted that the options that are available vary from one version of Windows 10 to the next. I don't get the drop-down calendar after typing date: and it doesn't change colour on ext: Finally, the 'Search Tools' tab only appears after initially searching for something. I am using Windows 10 Version 1909. (Check using Win-R and typing winver

11:48 avoid non-liner if avoidable... if you have like in building constructions a lot of loadtypes, where you have to use superposition of the results it is elementary to use linear types of FEA. Whereas if you have some strong loading exposed columns... you can use Elastic Theorie II. Dregree where you iterate the Load and Displacement to test if buckling is really a problem. this is only a construction engineer comment :D And of course... you need to know what to use when. When elastic, when plastic material behavier. When using geometrical non linearity. When dynamical analysis. And especially what to use when. engineering is awesome and the video is as well👍😁 Thanks!
