Hank's 1938 EL Knucklehead
Hank's 1938 EL Knucklehead
Story of a barn find antique Harley Davidson 1938 EL Knucklhead bought by a WWII USMC vet in 1945 and modified to the period standard for what would have been termed a Bob Job. Share the journey! All proceeds that may arise from this are going to go towards helping vets with ptsd, Specifically an old friend of mine at first, but as.many as we can with the money we raise.

You the man bro that bike is amazingly rare.
Congrats! That’s gonna be a hell of a ride once it’s all cleaned and tuned.
No other feeling like it, congrats on a sweet ride. Don't ever make the mistake like me and sell it.
That laugh when it first fired is priceless. Good on you man, that's excellent. First ride yet?
Yes! Amazingly smooth running bike. And fast for a 30s bike!
To all the nay-sayers and second guessers that inevitably show up in the comments, this video is not monetized and there is nothing for me to gain by not telling the truth. This was an amazing moment in my life and I simply wish to share it with others! Enjoy and check out the other vidoes that show the condition upon first arrival just a few weeks earlier. I had to order a battery and some carb gaskets to get to this point and it took some further work on the primary and clutch before It was ready to ride, but, all in all, was in incredible condition for a bike that had not been ridden since 1964.
Beautiful Bike and sound 🤩
Thanks ✌️
1st start in 60 years???? Is that documented?
Yes, it's called this video.
Hell, even I was excited!💨
You should have been there! It was an amazing moment that you hear about and maybe see a few videos of, but never believe would be possible to experience first hand. It is, indeed, spiritual!
Isn't that a panhead, not a knucklehead? Forgive my ignorance, i'm NOT a rider by any means
Yes
61 cubic inch?
Yes
I can damn near smell the warm oil in my living room !
Rings and/or guides need replacing!!
I will buy that blue front fender if you want to sell it...
Is it for sale
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Nice bike back on the road 😎😎😎😎
Thanks 👍
It'll wave your hand over the pipe doesn't tell me that the motor is cold
The bike was definitely cold, it hadn't started in 59 years!
I never understood why Harley put the ugliest seat on the nicest bike they ever made
If you think that's an ugly seat take a look at the 1946 to 1949 indian chief banana seats, one of the most gorgeous motorcycles ever produced with one of the ugliest seats ever
Gonna need a top end.
Nope, cleared up and currently runs great!
Great 38. Sell everything else, but never ever this bike.
Yayuss
I got a beat up bike if ya want it. I can get a partial title, if I contact the guy I got it from. I need it gone.
What is the bike?
