7:40 Concerning "The Raven." I've found strong evidence that Edgar Allan Poe's claim to "The Raven" was merely a brazen public scam. The real author, who published it anonymously in the February, 1845 edition of "American Review" under the pseudonym, "(blank) Quarles," was, as I have concluded from over a decade of independent research, Mathew Franklin Whittier, the younger brother of Quaker poet John Greenleaf Whittier. I believe that Mathew wrote the poem in December of 1841, based on real-life circumstances.

6:15 You are closer to the truth than you know, when you say, "A Christmas Carol in six weeks?" My independent research has revealed compelling evidence that, just as you might think, Dickens could not possibly have, and in fact, did not, write "A Christmas Carol" in six weeks. I've concluded that within that six weeks, all he did was to re-work a completed manuscript co-authored by an American couple named Mathew Franklin Whittier and Abby Poyen Whittier. His theatrical description of writing the novella "walking the black streets of London," alternately laughing and weeping, was simply a grandiose lie. He made a Freudian slip in the letter where that quote is found, inadvertently admitting he had obtained it from some other source, but he scribbled it out. It can, however, be definitely deciphered by a process of illimination. What Dickens did with "A Christmas Carol" was to dumb down and secularize a spiritualist redemption novel, into a sensationalized "Ghost Story of Christmas."
Very helpful ❤️
