What was the Fardier used for. And yes I too would like to see the inside of the AML 90. The Chieftain does a great job with military vehicle walk arounds, on the bright side you don't need to talk about track tension with the AML 90😅

Could I put in a request for an almost "chieftans hatch" style video on your AML-90 turret? There isnt much on the inside of those things and he only got to cover the 60. Would love to see what the inside looks like, how tight it is, etc. Love the stuff you guys put out. Got my 90 + mantlet in too!

6:58 "twelve and a half liter" ? Nope. 6 x 53 cui per cylinder is 318 cubic inches, which is about 5.22 litres in metric. The nomial power is 275 bhp (as used on the US M113A3). The NATO-certified rating is 350 bhp. Thanks for sharing !

Good morning, the 602cc engine which this is produces 29 horse power. The 2 horse power was a French taxation class related to the earliest 375 cc engine.

I run a museum primarily dedicated to Canadian artillery gaving heen an Instructor-in-Gunnery in the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery for 44 years. We fire blanks from a number of our cannon. Thanks. The vehicle is an ex 'demonstration vehicle' as used at the Satory exhibitions. Therefore we were able to purchase as it isn't a desirable model (early and petrol) so is not suitable for modern combat..

Excellent video! I am surprised about how much is manually operated on this vehicle! Do you guys have any manuals for the gun? I stumbled upon an incomplete one + mantlet here in the US that was mislabeled as a 25 pounder for some reason and I would like to clean it up

@@fargmotorpool I haven't gotten to pick it up yet, but my usual when getting an aquisition like this is trying to dissassemble (inevitably) frozen parts, clean off corrosion and reoil/grease to prevent any further degradation. I was hoping to ask about the breech mechanism and likely the recoil cylinders etc when that happens if you wouldn't mind.

Though air fed is best, you can buy a carbon filter mask from 3m and others that will cover you for short term use with 2k, cellulose lacks the toughness of 2k and is pretty harmful to your kidneys and liver, even better for chassis work is 2 pack epoxy, Jotun Jotamastic 90gf (developed for boat hulls) is excellent and doesn't require the best prep, it's also available in the full RAL colour range. 👍

40 years ago we had one in our division. It was equipped with an anti-mine roller with heavy chains at the front, no more cannon but a Browning M2 cal 50 (used in Lebanon). In 1983, she was already an old lady. 4th engineer regiment. My dad served on AMX10 in the late 50th.
