This is truly amazing. I have made loads of bones, but wondered what to do with them. Now I know! Wish I had a mould for the pelvis and ribcage, as they look amazing. Thank you for sharing this great idea x ❤

I have no words for how much I love this. You've also given me a great idea of a lower cost way I can do a creepy makeover on an old light fitting I saw in the street on rubbish collection day and that accidentally ended up in my house... :D

These are absolutely awesome. I worked in biology research for 8 years plus was a science technician in a high school so these kinds of jars really conjure up the smell of formalin! So many brilliant ideas and your labels are so creative and just brilliant . I also very much here for the coffee grinds (she says as she's drinking coffee at 10pm - LOL) :-) Definitely subscribing

Great ideas. Oh hint, to take off the label glue take some used cooking oil with equal amount of baking soda mix and then cover the glue and let sit for about 30 min. Then wash with soap and hot water. It has always worked for me.

WHEN YOU WANT TO GET LABELS TO COME OFF AND REMOVE THE STICKY RESIDUE ....... GO TO THE DRUG STORE AND BY THE CHEAPEST SPRAY COLOGNE THEY HAVE .......... SPRAY THE LABEL LET IT SIT FOR A FEW SECONDS, THE LABEL WILL PEAL AND THEN TAKE A KITCHEN SPONGE USING THE ROUGH SIDE, SCRUB OVER THE GLUE RESIDUE AND IT COMES RIGHT OFF......... WHY? YOU ASK...... THE OIL IN THE CHEAP PERFUME AND THE EXTRA ALCOHOL THEY USE TO CREATE IT MAKES A CHEMICAL REACTION [TOTALLY SAFE TO YOU] AND LIFTS THE LABEL AND GLUE. WASH THE BOTTLE TO REMOVE THE COLOGNE, DRY IT AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.

How are these holding up?
@nightcrafts44472 жыл бұрын
Overall, holding up well! I have a few jars I made from 2019 with grow toys and the grow-sponges have expanded more and soaked up more water, but it doesn't detract from the desired aesthetic IMO. The other specimens have not changed as far as I can tell :)

@nightcrafts44472 жыл бұрын
@@BlueSkys23 That is a good point! No visible mold, but I don't plan on opening the jars to quantitatively assess! For these jars, I used diluted bleach water, not sure if this is necessary, though.

Oh my goodness!!! Being a Field BIOLOGIST and having worked at a Lab to put myself through college, I have to tell you how ABSOLUTELY PERFECT your specimen labels are! I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about them! The verbiage, the Latin! The tamper tape seal! I love all of it! They’re near authentic...I love how unethical! 😂 You should see some of the labels on specimens I collected from the OR. Yikes. Or how they refer to the date of death of a human as...EXPIRATION DATE. Sooo, are you a chemist, or a crazy person? 😂 😉 JK! Bravo! You should be proud!
