I'm looking for the electrical load requirements. If I wanted to replicate your set up. Thank you. For a home hobby shop so to speak. Nothing commercial that's for sure.

How are you supposed to use the 4mm end, when the other size is 5mm and won't fit in the holder?

You do not need circular. You only need hexagonal. The fixture can index for X-Y cuts on the bit

Imagine this concept but with an edm machine that has independent top and bottom tool heads. 5 axis wire edm baby.

I used to make DI water tanks through Culligan. DI water is very hungry and rapidly causes corrosion on any metal. What pumps are you using to protect from that effect?

I am a Mechanical Engineer (University Bachelor degree) but before that I was a Fitter / Machinist, so I know my way around a vernier caliper and a set of allen keys. However I trained and worked with Mechanical Engineers that wouldnt know one end from the other. Its not a given that ME's are familiar with hand tools, that knowledge is usually gained after hours. I have heard people use the ME description when they really mean Mechanical Technician, or even Mechanic.

Instead of a ball detent, maybe turn a groove in the middle of the shank and put a carefully selected O-ring on it for a friction fit

It's a bit late, but think the device would be more stable if you were to add precision screws with springs on both sides, and only use the compressive strengths of the springs to position the X and Y plane. Otherwise, if you would only use one spring, you would have more wiggle-room on the side of the spring

hi Mike; can you please tell me the gear ratio between the small gear in the clearpath spindle and its meshing big gear in the crush roll? I have counted the small gear teeth (12) but I cant ascertain the number of teeth on the big gear, also please tell me the OD of the crushing roll. thank you Mariano

I would have thought the hss you used to make your tools would be rather brittle... 🤔 Nice project, you spent quite a bit of time explaining why the printed block / seals / steel bearings wouldn't work but it seemed (to me at leadt) you skimped slightly on explaining the ceramic bearings iteration, ..I understand the concept but others may not have... just a thought... 😎👍☘️🍺

I would suggest to mechanically separate the pumps from the main frame to avoid vibrations on the workpiece
