I am a Biomedical Scientist with a MSc in Cancer Pharmacology, currently doing a PhD in Cancer Immunotherapy and in the meantime I also help people live the healthy life that they want. In this channel we talk about all things anticancer habits and mindset and self-care as a way of living a healthy life both physically and mentally. Apart from these topics I also a bit of my journey towards creating my healthy dream life. I will try this habit of yours rather than buying books impulsively. Thank you for sharing this tip! Regarding the Period Repair Manual, I am currently in the middle of it and I absolutely recommend it. I have learned things since the first page, so I love it! Another one is Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. I am currently researching some more regarding this field. But at this very moment, these two are my go-to. Hope this helps. Wow this video is amazing! I loved your explanations with scientific reasoning behind. We all know that the habits you mentioned are essential for a healthy life but not necessarily the scientific explanations. I work as a data manager in clinical research including oncology studies but I don't really get to dive deep into the medical part even though I'm very interested. And cancer is so common nowadays so I really wanted to learn more about it and prevent it. Could you recommend some specific brands/types of essential oils? Thanks a lot!

It's so important to cherish your daily life! That makes up most of our days, so it's necessary to feel comfortable being with oneself and to care for one's own good. Very nice vlog, I'd love to see more of the positive selfcare!
I agree so much with this!! Putting ourselves first should be a priority. I know sometimes it can be a struggle because of work and different life experiences but we have to take care of our wellbeing in order to keep on going. It makes me so happy that you liked the vlog! I totally get it! Saying no and setting boundaries is harder than we think. I am currently making an effort into turning it into a habit so that each time it gets easier. I have a video talking about this, have you watched it? Maybe it helps 😊

Thank you for sharing your tips! I love that you see your health as a project in itself and I find that inspiring. Managing to free up spaces of free time to learn to take care of yourself is also difficult: body health, sefl-care, mental health, meditation are in themselves learnings for which you have to manage to sacralize time. Hi Finoula, Thanks for sharing your tips for healthy habits ! I followed your advice and switched for matcha in the morning, and it feels so cozy now to have a light, soft hot drink with breakfast ! And setting a reset day is a good idea: I tend to feel bad when I am in the middle of my week and see something I have to do but I know will take 1hour and I don't have time. I think it will help to keep it as a note for the reset day and take it out of the "bad thoughts circle" in my mind ! Thanks for sharing, take care ❤

Hi Ethel!! I do but it's not very painful. It used to be super hard but since I did my gynecologist check-in, I changed lots of habits and started my PMS supplements, everything is slowly changing. The pain is still there but thankfully it's not as intense as before 🥰

Thank you for this 3rd Vlogmas of 2023 ! I also tend to stress a lot when packing (I'm always scared of forgetting something): I finally decided on making a "Packing List" mini-template on Notion for each situation. With it, I keep track of what I took for a weekend/a week and I update it whenever I see that something was missing or wasn't necessary. I would be interested in learning more about your Mindfullness Routine if you are ever willing to share this here on KZread. + You forgetting to turn on the camera when out with a friend is a sign you're embracing the moment with your friend ! Hi Finoula, Thanks for all the tips: it can be so tempting to stay inside in December because of the grey weather we can sometimes get where I live. But as you say, going for a walk can be so beneficial during the winter and Christmas markets can help motivate you to go out during the weekend ! One of my tips for eating healthier and in conscious despite big family diners: part of my family is vegan and we often like to share tasting moments at Christmas. My family members bring new food alternatives that they want to share: It's amazing the interesting flavors you discover ! Take care <3
