explaining THAT something happened - does NOTHING to prevent it FROM happening. To understand HOW something like this happens - you aught to watch "The wave" and/or read up on "The Third Wave Experiment". Especially since it is currently being applied - and has been, for the last decade.
This story is so interesting in many ways, including the fact the boy was physiologicaly messed up in the brain causing the seizures (i believe). Wierd how jesus said that the holy spirit couldnt instantly heal this one and requires deep prayer. I think sometimes the mess ups in in bodies can get very complex, more than simple fixes, that God the father has to intervene or something to fix and adjust the bigger than usual problem in the flesh where its delicate (neuro). Its possible a demon attached to the boy in the womb and messed up the kids growth. Of course God can instantly heal the boy, but the Holy Spirit may have needed the Father and Sons will (requiring prayer) because sometimes i think God leaves deformity in children to test the faith of the parents. Its a complex result from sin, and from the attack of the enemy, not directly from the parents sin per say, but by sins nature itself. Some parents experience Gods love more through the blessing of a handicap children. Ive read books about it. Its all about the fathers will in the end, even though the holy spirit was used to glorify Jesus power and name back in those days from his disciples.

When you dig deeper into Jewish culture this moment showcases the finished work of the Lion of Judah. What Peter did by attacking the temple servant was a capital offense. He would have been killed for this. What Jesus did by restoring the ear erased any evidence of Peter’s wrongdoing, so that when he stood before the judge there was no proof. This is what the blood of the Lamb does for all of us. By washing our sins in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, our wrongdoings are erased and when we stand before the Judge, there is no evidence of that sin. Stand up and walk as one justified and approved in Christ, brothers and sisters.
