    I saw you comment on adam darklords page about the m settings only adjusting the motor speed? Doesnt the hz always stay the same and the torque is adjusted through the m modes? Thanks!

  • @tattootheory

    It’s all a gimmick. If you actually talk with a faulhaber motor engineer like I have you will know that all these motors do is slow down.

    I thought something was fishy with this machine right off the bat when they were claiming m0 was direct drive and m+1 and +2 increased the torque. That's completely false. Seems that the people who are blindly praising this machine do it for acus's benefit. What a let down

    I just got a full set of Industry Ink. I've heard nothing but good things about it . I've yet to use it so far but I have seen other tattoos that look amazing with this INK . I also got a bottle of the red UV ink so I can make eyes light up in my tattoo's. I'm just getting back into tattooing after 25 years of not doing any. The Technology has really gone way above what we used to have. I'm really looking foreword to tattooing again but it's gonna be a while as I am getting my sea legs back. I finally got all of my supplies and machines and I went with Pen machines instead of coil this time around, but I still have a few coils laying around in case I need them. I'm really hoping this ink is as good as it's being pushed as. If it is going to glide into the skin like said then it should be great.

    Their grips suck to wrap, that nose taper just wants to shift during work. I got a Discover adjustable (wired) and while it's similar to the thorn 2, it has a fat grip that fully fixes this issue. That blue one looks nice tho.

    I wonder what mechanism they’re going to use for the adjustable drive. I’ve heard the swashplate isn’t the best for that. If you look at the Valhalla and the Unio they’re very long and I assume no swashplate but that causes a battery not to fit well obviously. Hmmmmm

    I got the Cheyenne sol nova 4.5 to do it all. It does not. Lining is weak with it. And whenever I try to turn power supply past 12.5 , the machine just shuts off. Is that normal???

  • @tattootheory
    @tattootheory2 ай бұрын

    What cartridges are you using? And the machine will not go past 12.5 the motor is a 12 volt motor dude. Everyone assumes that a longer stroke is gonna be better for lining while I'm over here dropping lines with a 14 round shader with that exact machine in a 2.5. The longer stroke revolution on any machine will need more power it will run slower because there is more travel distance for the motors rotational force. This situation forces you to to crank the machine up and go slower and that machine is not good for everything in my opinion.

    real talk. i thought this will be the replacement of heavy coil machine. i bought mp5 last month. i want to sell it now. unlike other tattoo machine. rotary direct drive rotary stikes force from center to outer, full force up and down with consistent power. coil machine is the electromagnetic full force downward from armature bar that electromagnetized to coil copper wire. this full magnetic drive very crazy idea 5 magnet. pushing same pole. 2 magnet on top and 2 on bottom and one magnet in the center. the force coming from side to center. imagine two strong upper and lower magnet pushing the force towards center instead from center towards outer. weirdest and strangest tattoo machine ever.

  • @tattootheory
    @tattootheory2 ай бұрын

    Bro this machine is amazing, but it only works great with cartridges that have a soft membrane. If the membrane is stiff the magnets will have a short stroke.

    What do you think of mom's tattoo ink

  • @tattootheory
    @tattootheory2 ай бұрын

    I haven't used Mom's since the 90s, Mom's is made by technical tattoo supply which Lou Rubino used to own and then left and started world famous ink, and ultimate tattoo supply. These days I only know a handful of artists that use Mom's because there are much better inks on the market now. We do although have very little time left before the fda steps in and starts regulating our ink, I'd recommend loading up on all the ink you can get, I see allot of problems about to start in tattooing.

  • @tattootheory
    @tattootheory4 ай бұрын

    Ok so the spinning situation is actually not good for the hydraulic pump, so during testing me and the owner of the company decided to cancel this feature because if the armrest was to continuously spin freely all the time the hydraulics eventually would fail.

    This question is a bit difficult to answer because every tattoo artist works at a different hand speed. What I recommend for you is to start at the lowest voltage and adjust as you learn the machine to make it work for you.
