  Try to set up the trimpot. If you don't know how to, search for modulation trimpot adjust. Every modulation has one, and sometimes it gets out of position on transport. It happens even with expensive pedals sometimes.

  There's no such thing as useless! There's actually a lot of ways to use chorus besides the traditional way. You can make it sound like Leslie, Vibrato, Vibe, Flutter, robotic sound FX. It's the reason why Chorus is so famous
