Platte Basin Timelapse

Platte Basin Timelapse

Platte Basin Timelapse (PBT) is a conservation storytelling project-exploring watersheds, building community, and inspiring care for our natural world. We are a team of multi-talented professionals who tell stories, create films, give presentations, host events, teach classes and conduct research. PBT also has a network of more than 60+ timelapse cameras spread throughout the Platte River Basin that have been taking pictures daily for over a decade.

    how do they catch the birds?

  • @jakereich
    @jakereich5 ай бұрын

    Usually with a net strung up, a bit like a giant badminton net. The birds fly in to it and get trapped in loose pockets in the soft netting material, and can then be carefully and quickly removed without harming them. For certain species other techniques are used, but this is the most common.
