Community Church of Boston

Community Church of Boston

Since our founding in 1920 we have been a community of individuals who come together to educate ourselves, discuss pressing issues, and explore the spiritual roots of peace and justice. We strive to open our doors to all people. As a congregation we have long been involved in opposing war and supporting immigrant and workers rights. Notable speakers Martin Luther King, W. E. B. Du Bois, Sarojini Naidu, Angela Davis, and John Haynes Holmes are a few who have spoken from the "Free Pulpit in Action."

Oh well, Amerikka was sleep, so I guess it's better late than never. I mean you do have millions and governments around the world supporting you now.

I agree with all of your economic breakdown mais je regrette que le subject de immigration is off the mark. There may well be a shortage of labour in the U.S. but a lot of good honest police and ex immigration law enforcement is saying that men are crossing the border( not all ) but a significant amount of men that are suspect. What is meant by suspect is that these law enforcement people have years of experience and can by instinct and observation pick out people that they believe are possibly dangerous. This is not racism, it should be respected and their opinion is not being heard for the most part. As in the eighties Castro emptied his jails and no doubt lots of countries have done the same. Having an unvented border and allowing anyone to cross the border is madness. Dumping hoards of people in areas without notifying the people who already live there is disrespectful. Giving those immigrants rights and monies that far surpasses the American peoples rights is immoral and unjust. Last but not least if this were as you say a ploy to relieve the domestic labour shortage then that would be fine but the amount of people crossing the border is far in excess of what any society can handle in one go. It has I’m afraid more to do with elections than for the good of the people. History of America recently proves that government doesn’t give a hoot about it’s people.

Only Americans in the enemies claim that the US has an empire. We do not. Every year year after year decade after decade, we are lose money in our trades with other countries in 2023. Our trade deficit was $773 billion.meaning that we paid more that much more to other countries and they paid back to us, in addition, we distributed 60 million in foreign aid. Only in common, a J, and a true enemy of America would twist this to be some form of colonialism.

Just by fate I was able to avoid the decline of the middleclass lifestyle that is happening in America today and for all the unlikely reasons. In 1966 I was drafted into the Army after quitting college in my sophomore year and eventually stationed in Saigon Vietnam. Instead of being homesick or shot at I loved that year of my life and wanted to continue the experience of Asia but at the same time I did not like being in the Army and knowing that after one year I would get a discharge and be on my own. However, I met American construction contract workers in Vietnam and from their experiences and stories decided that would be lifetime career after the army. I was discharged in Oakland California and knowing that many of the companies working in Vietnam were in California, I visited some of the companies and told that with no work experience or a college degree I was out of luck. I was going to school in Kansas City although I had grown up in Shreveport La. but I got a job assembling Ford cars for about 9 months when America completed its first maned moon landing, and I had enough money for an airline ticket to Bangkok. That one-year of backpacking in Asia taught me a lot about myself and the world. I returned to America and finished my degree at LSU. using my GI bill and working parttime I was debt free without a student load or my parents help mainly due the fact my mother worked as a waitress and my dad worked for the railroad. But 4 months after graduation I got a job with a company headquartered in Bangkok, but the job was building pipelines in the Jungle of New Guinea. Not knowing anything about pipelines I made it a point to learn as much as possible and luckily, being the youngest man on the job the older men were happy to pass on their knowledge. The best thing about that job in 1973 was I was paid $2,000 a month tax free, and all my expenses were paid by the company that included food, lodging, transportation while I was on the jobsite which was 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off were I was flown Bangkok and given an additional $45 a day for food and lodging. For the next 4 years I was able to save a lot of money being single and still having a really great time on both my job and my 2 weeks off. I rented a house in Bangkok and found more work in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Bahrain, Qatar, Borneo, Nigeria, Thailand, and even Vietnam for the next 4O years. I never had to borrow money for a new car mostly since I did not need on until I retired since living in Bangkok it was better to take a taxi. Not being a resident of Thailand and not going back to American for more than one month a year I was also exempt from paying taxes in America although I had to file taxes every year. In the meantime, my savings were stacking up and I did not trust the stock market, so I bought land in America, and built a home on the land during my one-month yearly vacations to Ameria that took 14 years to complete but was fully paid for up completion. I always paid cash for everything until the internet came along and I could buy things online that required a debit card, and renting a car at the airport and reserving hotels required a credit card but again I always settled the bill in cash or having my bank deduct from my bank account. By 2008 I saw that America was doing a lot of stupid things and decided to sell the home I built and the land I bought and moved to Thailand. I still see every morning that America is still doing stupid things except now Washington DC has upped their game and today doing even more stupider things that amaze me. So, unlike the average American that came from actually the lower middle class I was able to avoid the trials and tribulations that the average American is putting up with today. Never ever borrowing money, never using a credit card (debit card only), staying single until I was 51. I have retired back in Thailand where I live a much better quality of life that I would have if I had stayed in America. I can't fix stupid, and it would be stupid of me to try. Much like my ancestors that left Europe over a hundred years ago to find a better place to live, I am today doing the same thing.

First, what exactly does he mean when he says “ The Expropriation Without Compensation Of The Single Of Most Important Wealth Of The South”. Is he stating that the white slave owners sould have been appropriated money for their loss of the slaves as a means to obtain wealth? Does he believe that the slaves should have been compensated for their years of slavery? This guy is sounding like he isn’t too happy about the abolishment of slavery. He is maybe hinting his racist beliefs. I’d like to hear his explanation of what he’s stated.

Something you didn't say that is frustrating is that one of the reasons the American people are suffering and it's not just the American people it's across the globe no one not anyone is having 2.1 kids to replace themselves that's including China Japan Europe or the United States because the globalist capitalist so without a soul and so ruthless and so hard people can't afford to raise children some may have lucky enough to get a partner to marry and have one to four kids possibly to and then there's many many many many many many many that don't have any at all and will die in their old age without any children for the rest of eternity this is something that's across the board and after world war II we had a baby boom but then during that time we made things if you went to the store at a Kmart we made television sets and toasters and cars and etcetera sort of just like China now we made everything and bought and sold to ourselves and then with inflation also it took the mother and the father to both work which wasn't before after that gas crisis but then we sent all our jobs overseas and we didn't make anything anymore everything was given favor absolute favorite for China China got tax breaks that's incredible for American businesses including also in European businesses so everything absolutely everything is made in China of course so they can have entrance into that market but also to sell back to the United States in Europe where you ended up getting rid of the middle class in the United States can't buy anything that they used to make you have to go to Kmart and buy from China China China China China China China China toasters are made in China refrigerators are made in China everything everything gets made in China and the American worker doesn't really have much to do except work at home Depot or to work at a Walmart and you're not making a living wage where you can have a family in fact only those jobs like being a nurse or being a teacher or being a plumber those might be able to reproduce children but the vast majority of a huge majority you don't get to see that didn't make children I'm one of those people who got an education and then couldn't get to use it because it kept getting outsourced over and over and over and overinto four single hood and a lot of them ended up homeless and they're not with us anymore I'm 64 years old and I don't have any kids and I will be working till I drop this is the economy that were left with and I'm saying that hopefully if Trump gets back and says let's close the border and industrialize the United States instead of doing what China does which is make everything and buy and sell to themselves and then to others that's what we used to do that's how we built for our selfs Until we gave everything to China with the tariff laws and the world trade organization and all those like that favored China to begin with that was given to China by our corporate elites so if we want jobs for the American people where we buy and sell it to ourselves or the Europeans we need to change those laws so you can actually make a living like you're buying self to yourself I doubt India will outsource all its jobs to America and give their workers no work or I doubt that China will outsource its workers jobs to the United States and just give everything to us when we send all our jobs overseas we sent the wealth and the knowledge to another country and we gave them That I've always thought there'll be a point where China can just seize all that those companies in their country cuz it's in their country and those people that gave those businesses their gave that their wealth away cuz Chyna can take that at any time and it's still has a billion people to buy and sell to itself and now it has all that advantage that was a very foolish thing they wanted to have the advantage to sell in that market so they entered in it and gave that wealth and that power away is well as to sell back to us and they would make huge profits that particular group of capital ist but not our civilization after that And you can see how that is Watch the movie about flint Michigan and all the auto workers loosing their jobs to outsourcing and the area looking like a war zone after it We did that to many people here on drugs and or homeless or just working themselves to death Sure a few may be ok like teachers and or nurses and plumber s stuff that you could not outsourced but many people could not make it Trump said to the rust belt lets close the border and let's reindustrials here ie lets buy and sell to ourselves like we use to China will be fine they can buy and sell to themselves and they have the largest educated population of engineers in the world because they make stuff and the us and Europe have not really for years The Chinese say their kids want to be engineers when they grow up because they actually make things and have work and we use to have kids say the same thing in the 1950s when we use to make things and you could raise a family then now it has changed and now no one has 2.1 kids to replace themselves Something has to really change Like you said I think if Trump gets in then we can shut down the wars and look into redoing trade agreement that are not at our own people s expensive Why is it the only way to build up China has to be at the United States and Europe s expensive why But that is how they built china up really And if somebody has 4 times your population and is totalitarianism that is a very dangerous thing to do because you hand power over for them to take you and We did that Our elites are out of touch and stupid really japan didn't open its borders or outsource all this work and their people have had long life but still over worked and still don't have replacement 2.1 kids As you said we need an honest real conversation and policy for our people And jobs you can raise a family and that is a problem world wide They have outsourcing and insourced our country to death and it is so inhumane What i am seeing at my work is like a police state now and people working two three jobs and can't make it

Mr. Sachs was raised and lives in an incredibly sheltered, privileged, wealthy environment. I agree with him about our (US) endless unnecessary wars, the military industrial complex. Eisenhower included congressional but deleted it from his speech. At the end of the day, Mr. Sachs is really no different than any other privileged wealthy sheltered elite, regardless of ideology, politics. I've been alive long enough to see clear, consistent patterns. The sheltered elites, academic, business, politics, etc., who control our society and world promote policies that often end up with disasterous results, hugely negative for the "average" person, but simply brush it off, or use deflection. We are indeed controlled by a uniparty elite. And no, they don't care at all about the "average" human being, aside from using them for their needs, metaphorically bleeding them out. Mr. Sachs view of dystopic China, a classical fascist state if ever there was one, complete with suicide nets, reeducation camps, as total surveillance of it's people as you can get, is bizarre. That it's leaders are non- threatening, only care about peace, prosperity, friendship, is ridiculous. I have a friend on the Autism spectrum and he thinks exactly like this, but he also really doesn't fully grasp human nature.
