Good pickings
It’s not a design failure. They did it on purpose so a lot of people won’t be able to change it on their own. I hate everything about this ford escape. It’s complete trash. Ford used to be reputable more it’s a joke
Nice. Like that fxr and all the rest
Lol so hard to get to, fer sn old man lol thanks dude
Thank you a million, I kept adjusting the bottom connector, was about to buy entire linkage
I watched a video on how to change the battery in my 2014 Escape. I completed to work in 30 minutes. Easy- peasy, don’t sweat it.
$$$?
How much would a service like this cost for a bike exactly like this in 2024?
@@Joker-ig8im most shops charge between 140 and $200 an hour, and it could take a couple hours
@@MasonGeorgeMotorcycles Thank you. Believe it or not I have two of these. A 2004 and 2005 Suzuki Intruder Volusia VL800. The 2004 does run with the clutch off but it hesitates and sputters when first giving it gas at lower rpms then runs normal through the medium and high rpms. Then seems to run close to normal all the way through with the clutch on. Think I'm going try my first carb clean out which is why I'm watching these videos. Thanks for your video!
Beautiful machine just keep her and ride it like it was meant to be.
Does it do dead holes?
Sale it to me, lol.
@@shawngregory8336 everything has a price, I’m open to offers!
Motor isn't even broken in yet. wow! It sounds awesome. Would be a shame to rat it out. Man. I like it.
@@donaldwycoff4154 don’t worry I was only joking about making it a stunt bike… if anything I’m going to put 100% back to stock

@@atvseatexchange2176 thanks bro! I’m finally done with those RVs and back to Motorcycles. Hope you’re having a great summer!
@@MasonGeorgeMotorcycles Still grinding 6 days a week at 70, so need I say more?
My man dont know how to start that thing, too much effort taken here moving it so far though the kick cycle, just saying.
Want the same!!!! 👏👏👏👏😀 Richard from France 👍😎🇫🇷🏁
Congrats! that thing is bad to the bone! I got a brand new bike too this week a Yamaha Tenere 700! Gonna be a fun year.
0:43 haha i caught that chingaderas, haven't heard it in the sneak spoken way in a minute 😂
Love that sound
to me it sounds like the clutch is slipping ?? and you also start it wrong. this is not a harley davidson ,,, kicking a 650 through full compression is next to impossible
Thank you sir. The stealership wanted $25,000 and to keep the truck for 3 months!
@@TheLawCoyoteTLC 25k for what???
@@MasonGeorgeMotorcycles was being sarcastic. I meant for screwing the T30 bolt back into the shift linkage. Just fixed it now. Thanks for the video!
@@TheLawCoyoteTLC hahaha right on!
It sounds like a few folks are having the same problem I am but I haven't heard an answer to the question of "could this also be the reduction gear or starter clutch etc.?" What I am referring to is this - Problem: when the engine is hot, even though after having run perfectly, and after having started just fine cold (and many other times after that during a ride day) suddenly - the starter won't turn the engine over AND the engine is super hard to kick over and won't start because it's impossible to turn the engine over fast enough - because there is a drag on the motor - like the starter won't disengage or something. Another way to describe it is it feels like you're trying to kick it over with it in gear with the clutch out - even though the bike is in neutral. The only way I could get the bike to run again was on a steep downhill - in neutral (too much resistance to gain enough momentum if in gear even though the clutch is in). Once in neutral and plenty of momentum, pop it into gear and drop the clutch (ie bump start it) and it will overcome the resistance, start up - and run perfectly again. Before I just start tearing down and replacing parts has anyone experienced this and does anyone know what is causing the resistance? Again, could it be the reduction gear, is there some centrifugal bearing? could it be the starter clutch, or is it just THE clutch? Any help would be appreciated before I just start tearing it down and replacing parts. I've had to fix/replace just about everything else on this beast - couldn't agree more, my almost 20 year old KTM RFS engine dirt bikes have been way more reliable and problem free - and my 300 2-stroke - the best of them all. I have so much into this CRF at this point I need to fix it - even if I decide to sell it (don't want to sell it with the problem even though I easily could because for some reason it doesn't happen until after I'm deep into a hard day of hot weather riding.)
@@sspmoto you just have to take it apart and look at the components.
@@MasonGeorgeMotorcycles I don't disagree with you I'm just curious if anyone else in this thread - or you - have seen this same problem and perhaps resolved it.
We have exactly the same problem on a Kenmore model 253.64522404. Our model looks basically the same as yours except it is white. However, the control unit you removed looks the same. We're getting water in the pan just like what happened to yours. I am going to remove that temperature control unit and check it out. Hoping! If you have any pointers please feel free to chime in...Thanks. Phil
Sounds like my 2 stroke bush cutter
Don't think that was the original OEM motor? looked more like an MR175 motor??? anyone? as I am restoring a 78 CR125 M and cylinder is completely different... just sayin
@@knightmoto1 it’s a 125 bottom in with a 175 top end.
Beautiful bike. I'm restoring a Cheney Victor. They are alot of hard work. But worth it in the end.
F250 2005, loose shifting lever progressively getting worse as time has gone on. Reached a point yesterday where I had to put the truck in neutral in order to get it to start. I tightened up both screws as in the video, shifting is perfect again! Thank you!

@@danielwaterbury2730 nice meeting you guys yesterday!

Just had the exact same problem.. easy fix .. thanks for the video 👊🏻
Sounds sooo much nicer! 😎👌🏻 Thats what a bike is supposed to sound like.
I installed a new starter clutch and it's not engaging? Help
Did you test it before you put it back together? Was it operating?
Take the mirrors off man
You can still buy new parts for this Maschine.😊🇺🇲😊🇩🇰
That’s so cool!
Very angry
I had a similar bike in the early 70s. I think the model was a 24mds, with a Villiers 32a engine. It was was one of many in Yorkshire, as Terry Sylvester was a Greeves agent and rider.
Would this cause my 05 Sportster to not shift into 3rd gear? It'll shift from 1st to 2nd easily. My son thought my clutch lever was too tight, so he loosened it, so should i tighten that back up?
It sounds like you should probably take it to a shop and have them adjust it properly so you don’t cause more damage. If it won’t shift into third gear you might have a bent shift fork and unfortunately on the 04 and up models getting to the transmission requires splitting the engine cases.
Looks a million times better. You gonna enjoy this van a bit then sell it? It would be extra rad with a 4x4 conversion…
@@holdfast4588 yeah we took it on a little trip and had some fun with it! I’d like to get another one that is less RV and more nice big captains chairs for day trips.

Iam showing my age but they were Top of list bikes ….people used to say the 250 and 500 are the same size…They were both beast… brings back memories
Stunning! I'd have a hard time ripping that thing in the rocky desert. too nice. I owned two 650Rs and I loved them, however, I just got tired of kicking.
You gonna take it to Hollister Hills? We don’t have enough trails in this area.. too many environmentalists.
Unfortunately I have a blown out knee so not for a while. I had to have my buddy come over just to start it because it’s my right knee and I haven’t mastered the left foot start yet lol
Looks great! What ever happened to the Elsinore 250?
The dude who I was working on it for picked it up and wanted to do some of the work himself. I’ll have to shoot him a message and see if he ever finished it.
Very cool, that is a dream bike of mine to own. Prices are crazy high right now!
I want a full update on the Dyna that got ran over by the Jeep 😢 Please 🙏
The Dyna they got ran over is the same one that’s parked right next to it! I fixed everything except for a few small cosmetic things and have been riding it🏁
