I know your video was posted a long time ago, but do you happen to know the top speed you were getting with that boat/engine combo before and after the jackplate. Any info would be great.

I have a j16 I'm hoping to put a jack plate on, mostly because I don't have tilt & trim and need to be able to get in skinny water. How shallow does this plain on do you think? And would you recommend it?

No.. Doesn't hurt. He plays like that after he's full. I have a male and female and they dont mind being held. I can scratch his head and he will fall asleep. If I put a spray bottle up to his face he will start licking the tip, ready to drink.
