  How much does it cost? Are you allowed to cry if in pain after? Can you blink afterwards? What’s the pain scale? Are the sutures dissolvable? I want this done. Anything to not wear glasses and I’m not sure if contacts are gonna work for me.

  Corneal transplant is not a procedure for "not needing glasses" it is usually for corneal pathology when glasses or contact lenses can no longer correct the person's vision.

  I underwent a corneal transplant for my right eye on June 16, 2023. The surgery itself was painless, which was a relief. 😃 It's been a gradual process, but my eye seems to be progressing well. Initially, there wasn't a drastic change in vision, but over the past eight months, I've noticed gradual improvements week by week. As of February 19, 2024, I'm now able to read texts, although there's still some blurriness that I believe can be corrected with either glasses or contact lenses. Since the beginning of this year, I've been hitting the gym regularly and taking multivitamins, minerals, and omega-3 supplements, along with ensuring I drink 2 liters of water daily. I think this regimen has helped boost my vision performance, as omega-3 is known to be beneficial for the eyes. My last vision prescription, back on December 6, 2023, was +7. I have an upcoming appointment with the doctor in April, and I'll be sure to keep you posted on any further progress. Here's hoping for more improvements by then!

  You didn't feel the needles that are used to do the anesthesia ? I have a condition in my right eye that makes me see things so blurry, like, I can't even read 2cm in my face, but I can distinct the colors and etc. I wish to go under surgery this summer and I have so many questions. :D Ty for your time reading this and if you can give some advices/tips/stories. Hope you fully recover, take care.

  I have had both eyes done and my right redone. Left eye in 2000 and right in 2001. Right eye had a few rejections over first few years and needed redone in 2012. I saw 20/20 in both eyes but since my right was redone its 20/30 now. No rejections since. Breaking sutures sucks. But I had zero pain during surgery. They knock you out for 10 minutes to numb your eye up. After surgery it wasn't really pain, just swelling and uncomfortable but no pain meds really needed other than ibuprofen for a couple days. Eye looks like hell for a couple weeks. When they redid my Right it was a totally different surgery with no sutures and the meds were totally different. Tech changes all the time. I am very blessed to be able to see well. I had thinning corneas is why I had it done.

  @@catalinacurio Its a lot of eye drops, dizziness so if you have the surgery take at least a week off

  Just got this done the 11th of 2024 and yuck I didn’t know this much went into the surgery. I had my left one done a couple of years ago and this is my first time seeing how it’s done. 😮
