I am a happy mum of two.
I have a PhD in Science.
I´m Polish by birth, French by naturalization and European in heart.
In the past 5 years I was living in France, Switzerland and Germany.
Besides Science I´m passionate about cooking, travelling & photography.
One of my favorite things about traveling is discovering other places through their culinary culture.
I started Travel4Taste back in 2013 to organize all my favorite recipes. After I shared over 200 of them I decided I'd like to start making videos to illustrate my recipes even better. Now 2 years and 2 babies later I've finally found some energy and courage to continue with my project.

@@Travel4taste it stated even better next day. We will be making this all year around 😁..I used stevia for sugar glaze so no white sugar which am very happy about.

My Polish grandma called them chrusciki. I learned something new...faworki!
I think it depends on the region of Poland. In the center, where I'm from we call it "faworki" :)

My late Grandma was Polish. This is a pie I make the most often of all the cakes now. Any seasonal fruits would work. But plums are the best :)

In Moldova we used to do it for weddings also in form of roses ..now this pastry is a little bit forgotten...

I have never tried alternatives but I would imagine that coconut yogurt would be great here too! ☺️
Hi Marta! I'm looking into making your faworki. How long can you keep them fresh and crisp? Should I store them in a cookie tin? Sprinkle sugar right before serving?
They are definitly the best on the same day of frying. I usually sprinkle them with sugar as soon as they cool down, and often once more the next day 😂 we never managed to keep them longer than 2 days... 🙈

What do they exactly taste like? My father is in the hospital and is not allowed to eat anything that contains sugar in it. So I'm planning on making healthy cookies for him, hoping it'll taste good.
Sorry to hear about your Dad, I hope he will feel better soon! The cookies still taste sweet because the dates are naturally sweet (they contain same kind as sugar as fruits). You should check with your Dad's doctors if that's OK...
