LMAO #1 best thing to do in muskoka if your a tourist, is LEAVE... your ruining the housing market, no one can find homes because every rich bastard owns a cottage they never use and "air b&b" is making it so noone can even find a place to rent. we had locals living in an RV while building a house on their own property, muskoka by-law evicted them off their own land...its because they do not want you tourist to see the damage you are causing making everyone local, homeless. we use to have lots of high paying factory jobs around here, now there is very few. most jobs are "minimum wage". and we have to work 3-4 jobs to survive its so expensive now. we use to be able to rent a 3 bedroom home for around $500 just 10 yrs ago, now average rent for 3 bedroom home is 3000-5000. we were lied to and told we "NEED" tourism to survive. we were doing waaaay better before this was a known cottage destination"worldwide". we had jobs that actually paid a survivable salary/wage.
