West of England | Forestry England
For over 100 years, we have been growing, shaping and caring for over 1,500 of our nation’s forests for the benefit and enjoyment of all, for this generation and the next.
Forests care for us. Together we care for forests.
It's a job that never stops growing.

Great too see the outcome after all that new fencing was installed 😎
first love beavers
Well
Really helpful thanks 😎
Love this!
It's puzzling that dams and man-made weirs are being removed to encourage migration of fish and insects now beavers are being introduced to make more dams ....if you have a unwanted dam on your land can you remove it or do you have to put up with the flooding? There are lots of people posting videos from across the world of unwanted dams being removed and in some cases trapping and re release of problem beavers .I can see an ecological mess coming by well meaning animal lovers who don't have to put up with the inconvenience theses release can cause.just look at Australia for example......
Beaver is great. As a Canadian I love beaver, can't get enough. It's great that beaver is back in the UK, it will cheer up everyone who talks about the beaver!
Wonderful.
What a great video! Very good instructions. Took my 9 year old son for his first time last weekend on a carrera Halfords bone shaker he was scared at first but I couldn’t get him to leave by the end of the day! Could have done with a calm expert like yourself! Will show him this video so he realises how well he done.
you need to sort out the stabilisation on your camera this actually made me feel sick
Is this called twisted sister now?
ski run is still there but only the bottom section
@@69burto ye I realised that now thanks!
Can you also respect dog walkers as well, most accidents I have had is with mountain bikers, who belive the whole hill belongs to them, and only believe they excist. I have walked my dog around trials bike riders and motorcrossers, and never had an accident with them.
What a load of rubbish and lies. The last independent reservoir inspection deemed both dams safe and no threat to life. FE have been anything but open with their plans. They have carried out a restricted public consultation before they had carried out research. Research/investigations are still ongoing despite there being no need for them. Minor repairs were required. Rather than do this FE in conjunction with the EA have spent hundreds and thousands of public money on consultants some who haven't even visited the Ponds. One set of advisors are expects and getting round laws that protect endangered species. The money they have spent could have more than repaired the dams. Anyone believing a word on this film is being wilfully mislead by FE. Allegedly they haven't made a decision on the Ponds but their actions suggest otherwise. Their referral to listening to the public is a pure lie. They have even said in writing that the public opinion is irrelevant and the public don't know what they are talking about. If anyone wants to read actual facts about this issue please visit #SaceCannopPonds - there are reports from independently engineers, a quote to repair dams, details of wildlife dependant on the Ponds etc.
The trails are great fun, but honestly the scenery is amazing to look at as well, it's just hard to take it when you're belting down the trail!
I rid it when I was 12 on a hardtail
Uplift
Great stuff 100% we need the next generations of oaks planted. I got over 1000 acorns from my favourite oaks last year. Only got around 700 left germinating thanks to squirrels and a hazel door mouse I see
Well ridden, love corkscrew especially the 2nd half👍
I made the mistake of trying it on a clapped out hardtail💀
not been brave enough to attempt this trail yet. waiting for a quiet day in summer to stand atop that drop, contemplating all the various ways its going to go horribly wrong and where exactly the air ambulance is going to land. I WILL do it though. what I wouldn't give to be able to ride like this.
Is this a push up or uplift? If push up is it bad?
The Forestry Commission has become a national disgrace. It must be privatised so my taxes are not wasted on this nonsense.
Harry Potter made The Forest Of Dean famous. Let’s hope these beautiful animals are treated as magical and loved as the movie.❤🫶💕
The Forest did not require Harry Potter to be famous
Harry Potter .... oh please!!! Get your facts right .... his name was Dennis Potter the playwright ... born and bred forester.
How old are you
Very good video, brings back memories, I rode this trail many times. Please protect yourself, cover up & always wear good mtb gloves.
Good luck to them. May these wonderful animals thrive.
Verderers trail - my happy place. That middle section is soo much faster since it was resurfaced. I’ve ridden the complete circuit several times on full suspension and hard tail, the lighter hardtail made the assents easier.
You don’t work with nature, you destroy it. Your chopping all the trees down, Yorkley looks like a war zone, so the animals have lost their dens, warrens etc etc. Also your hell bent on getting rid of Cannop ponds which is a beauty spot. You so called forestry England are from towns and cities so you come here to destroy our way of life and culture.
Love this 👍
rode it, loved it, wee came out!
Nice
👍🏼
Fantastic trail and very enjoyable. One of my favourite for a simple design 👍
She can ride
Wow you made that look easy. It's actually so rough in person
nice video, with a good discretion and a lot of fun. congratulations for the channel, another new subscriber.
If you wanna skip the bulk of the climbs you can drive up to the gravel road and find post 51 and start there. Somebody get that dog off the trail!
Did this section today, its absolutely awesome, proper adrenaline rush 👌
2:12 there I've been thrown out of a trail last time 😂
I did the trail yesterday 2x and it was amazing. Especially this last section shown here is it worth to go. Thanks for building this great trail!
JUST SUBSCRIBED!!!KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!👍👍👍👍
Freeminers looks like a lot of fun these days.
More freedoms and access for local PEOPLE please instead of more threats of police action.
👏👏❤
Forestry England..... robbing Twats
Well ridden
cool video, i watched this last week and rode the trail today, such a fun track 💪
Great that, fingers crossed they prosper I only live 15 miles away
This is such a fun section and one where you have to keep your speed down to avoid landing on the face of the next roller. I always do a full lap of Verderers as a warm up and it's good fun.
Planning to do this tomorrow, not been on the Verderers trail in years, do you know roughly how long it takes to do a lap (including climbing to the start?) only got an hour there tomorrow not sure if I’m being optimistic. Cheers!
@@Coffeedrinkerer I'm quite fit and did 37 minutes for a lap. I was putting the effort in. 1 hour should be fine though 👍
@@BlackFlag94 cheers 👍🏻
It's a fantastic trail and VERY fast! So many gaps to try and achieve too, it really is fun for the beginners and the experts.
Thanks guys - and to all the volunteers - for all your work in creating & maintaining such an awesome MTB adventure playground! 😀🤘
