Mostly the citizen eco drive sport casual. It’s pretty much a field watch with a day date complication. It’s 37 mm so I like the size and I can grab it and go. And I put on a canvas Barton strap, I think it’s more comfortable for the hot days. I’ll switch to my gw-6900 now and then too for the rainy sloppy days.

I have them both and they are both great watches in their own right. The BLP is a grab and go. It can time events to the nearest 10th of a second for the first 30 seconds. It has a saphire crystal that protects the tachometer scale from scratches. The 45 mm wears large on most wrists and the 43 is better. It has a butterfly clasp on the bracelet which takes some getter used to and no microadjust, only half links. The Speedmaster with the saphire sandwich is scratch resistant although the tachymeter scale is exposed. It doesn't time to the nearest 10th but can time up to 12 hours wheras the BLP is limited to 60 minutes. The modern speedy is 40 mm, fits more wrists and has on the fly micro adjust. The watch wears like a dream on my 7.25 inch wrist. Both are super legible. Both are great watches in their own right and both deserve a place in one's collection.

The woman "Welly" met the guy "Merck" and they fell in love? Sure... 😂 But only after "Merck" defeated the 5 evil Wushu monks of the misty mountain citadel and the Two Headed Tiger to retrieve the Heavenly Emperor's crown jewels, which they are now working into their watches. Watch looks like the gaudy Frankenstein love child of a RM and a Hublot with some AP genetics mixed in for good measure, all of which in itself is horrific. I don't want to throw up in my mouth every time I look at my wrist. I also like my watches legible. That one is not. Super hard pass for me.

You know, many Chinese watch brands like to create little stories to give their brand some meaning. However, these stories are usually not very important. For example, PD has changed its name several times in the past, but that doesn't stop people from thinking their name is just a copy of a sports car or a type of vegetable, and they continue to buy their watches anyway.Because the products are good enough and are awesome for the price, and they are good at taking suggestions, for the most times.

  • @veganbutcherhackepeter

I think almost any collector would gladly pay what little extra it would take to make this 100 or 200m water resistant that’s a downfall of a lot of cool watches made over there. My best guess on the movement is some kind of modified Hangzhou 7520 looks just like the movement in the pagani 1659 I have it’s a 4hz movement balance and spring are in the same position that’s a skeleton watch with a screw down crown and 100m WR I think I paid like $75 for it so if they can do it this brand certainly can too whatever the threading process and gaskets cost are worth it to the consumer

The great thing about the off the shelf movement that some don't consider is that not only are Sellita movements are extraordinarily easy to get parts and replacements for, they're also very easy to regulate. That was a consideration made. Sure, some people who are just collectors or enthusiasts would want an in-house movement, but those could be unpredictable, not have parts available, or require unique training. The SW 200-1 ia a perfect choice for an automatic watch that is going to be out in the field getting banged up. Sure, a digital G-SHOCK that can be thrown away and replaced might be more suitable in some cases, but where this is the right choice, it shines.
