Think about this a camp kitchen in the back end of a truck that will accommodate a camp chef oven slide out
Thae tail gate doesn't even look like it closes
Yesss! 2 years later, and you're the first one to notice, or comment on it at least. These drawers weren't built for this truck, but we still wanted to use the truck for this video shoot because it fit the overland look. Me and the truck owner stressed out whether viewers would notice it hanging off the tailgate or not, but decided to send it anyways.
Can someone send me this draw setup please. Measurements etc.
very cool set up? good job!
Great effort! Any damage to the gearbox?
@@tedenduro243 so far so good!
Love it. Good on you sir
Dope, nicely done 👍🏼
Beautiful work!
Please design compact with sink for Jeep Cherokee XJ 4door
I have the ST2012. And I take this bike everywhere. I made a lot of videos about this amazing machine.
Awesome!
Frickin awesome! 👍🏻
Amazing video. Superb riding. Where is this?
So u ride both of them witch one better on that kind of terrain? I feel like baja right?
how do you like the dr350se? I have a 1996 near me that i'm considering going to look at. Do you think its worth it to hold out for a '98 or '99 for the better suspension? or is it better to just find any DR350 SE that is in good condition with low mileage. TIA for any advice or inisght.
I wholeheartedly believe the DR350SE is one of the best dual sports ever made. I've never ridden one with the upgraded suspension, but I'm of the belief that obsessing over suspension is a bit overblown. These bikes are getting increasingly more rare, so you'd have to wait a long long while to find a 98 or 99. So go for the 96 if it's low miles and in good condition!
How does this setup go exposed to the elements? We have an open trailer and are looking for a kitchen / storage solution.
I couldn’t agree more about the random banter! That’s part of the fun of the ride. Nice videos 👍🏼
Take my money!!
been trying to figure out a way to not spend a ton on slides. The skateboard wheels is genius. Thanks.
Whatever happened to pullkitchen, they have went radio silent across the board
@@bjlanders interesting. Haven't checked in on Pullkitchen in over a year. Possibly learned that mass manufacturing is not glamorous work, like what happened to me.
Do you/can you build a SINGLE drawer pullout kitchen for an 07 FJ......and rear seats UP. And just below the height of the side shelves ?? (So i can put a shelf all the way across) I would place this in the middle area of the floor... I have my own oven etc. And Live in Van, BC Canada. Let me know
Have you considered solar shower ? What about a gasoline type heater for a heat source? Also jakery solar power set up?
Thank you Sam, great video.
Gay as fuck .
You say that cap weighs 200 lbs?
Hey man, things happen.
Looks great can you do a left side unit
Hey, I like this idea, best one I’ve seen so far. I see it’s been a few years; do you have any reflections or thoughts about if you would do this differently?
Sam, your creativity and woodworking abilities are obvious. Thank you for sharing your experience and inspiring me to upgrade my truck storage drawers. I am a hobby woodworker and people are always telling me that I should take orders or sell online. I don't want my hobby that I enjoy to become work and suck the joy right out of it, so I know where you are at. There are companies out there that are already set up with CNC and mass production that may be interested in taking on your design. If you approach them with your list of interested customers, they may compensate you very well for your time, prototype and plans and get you out from under the stress.
Hi Sam I know you don't make these drawers anymore but But I'd really like to try and Make something like that So I'm gonna try and make something similar And I hope you don't mind but I have one question what size slide rails did you use ?
Hey my man love the video. Have you posted plans for this or want to sell plans for this? I actually rig a VW Touareg. I have removed my rear seats. I know your Tacoma plans would not work for my rig but I could scale down your plans. Thanks man.
best lighting setup ever.
Hello Do you ship to Australia?
I have a 2015 and it always feels much more appropriate to think of it as an overlanding vehicle instead of something to do baja stuff on. Moderate speeds, careful line choices and a healthy respect for the mass that's getting tossed around. If you take all of that into consideration, it's pretty impressive what these things can do.
Nice video and nice camp drawer.
My friend took his jeep out there
how did you waterproof the exterior? I am looking to build something like this but want to have my fridge in it!
Like the drone shots !
Love this but something that bothers me about many of these systems is having the stove on the end farthest from the truck. It's out there waving in the wind and weighing down the drawer which will eventually fail. This the first one that has considered where to put shoes, boots and 'dirty' things.
have you messed around with Teflon sliders before?
Love seeing the ST out in the dirt. Does the owner have a channel with vids? I'd love to see more of that bike.
How heavy did this turn out?
shiny bubble wrap good idea, was going to use Velcro tape and some tint but this is much better
How can i get work i will want One for my truck
How can i get One i would like buy One for my truck
why bearings and not rails?
Rails 6ft long are not available commercially. At least not when I built this. HD rails are very costly.
@@SamChou I can get 5ft long for $150 HD but 6th is almost double that price. Bearings at my place with to sides would cost half plus rails etc. I think I'm not far away from $150 and runners would look neaty - thanks for info. I might not need 6ft. therefore but get your point. I have wheels arches on both sides so it would be tricky to have bearings and no need for extension that far as can access it from the back too (it would be for the van rather than pickup) but similar idea. own design but like your work too.
Where are you riding?
I think I’m going to buy your cad! This is a dream set up!
For someone that 🍳 cooks DAILY 😂, I find it FUNCTIONAL 😊 , in fact OVER BUILT , but in GENERAL PRACTICAL...THANKS 😊
I was down in the area several days after you folks! It's a special area. Nice drone footage! As always well put together.
