  I think these might be those rare periodical cicadas that emerge every 13-17 years. These could be those ones that are supposed to be the descendants of the cicadas that were out when Thomas Jefferson was president.

  Way back in 1972. I had the chance to buy a 1957 Chevy Belair same paint like this one for $500. It had a 327ci 4 speed. Seller was a young man from our church. We went to look at it. I told Dad he needed a go to work car. His 1955 Ford was all rusted out. Then I could buy it off of him when I got my drivers license in 1973. He said that it cost too much & had too much horse power. Very sad day for me.
