He also tried getting fame via brutally murdering animals -- this is the guy from the "Don't F*** With Cats" Netflix documentary. And yeah, "roses are red, violets are blue, the police will need dental records to identify you" was the note he included in a package he sent to an elementary school, I think. Some level of school, at least. "Another fake name" probably refers to the fact that he used multiple aliases online and claimed that a guy named Manny Lopez was controlling him and making him do things. Except as far as anybody can tell? Manny Lopez is a complete fabrication.

First time viewer. I’ve been listening to Skynd for a couple of years. I love heavy music and I enjoy true crime documentaries, so I was bound to come across them sooner or later. Lol. The first one I heard was Gary H with additional vocals by Jonathan Davis. I really like the juxtaposition between the creepy distorted voice and her natural innocent little girl voice. It adds the ominous vibe I think. Very talented singer. ❤

The band has a bunch of "track breakdown" videos they made in the recording studio about each of the new songs on *Keep Me Fed.* They explain the motivation behind the lyrics. You might want to check them out before reviewing the songs themselves. Those vids are on their channel.

Great breakdown/analysis! Thanks for your concern about the artists. For next The Warnkng I highly recommend their fantastic show at Teatro Metropolitan, august 2022 with pro quality audio (all songs on their channel individually) and the “epic” performance of EVOLVE at MTV Music Awards 2023.

If you haven't already completely deep dived into their catalogue on your own time, you need to do "Teacher Teacher", "Perennial" Live at Wacken 2019, and "Judgement & Punishment" one take vocal.

I think this song needs to be looked at through the context of the 2014 Maidan unpleasantness in Kiev. It's a not some silly hippy song. It's about people willing to face off against a giant corrupted police state with unlimited resources, with nothing but a pasta colander to protect your head, and the broken off wooden handle of a broom.

  • @saltydroog854

Dani not only has a great powerful rock voice, she has an absolute rock star aura about her. It's almost like she went down to the crossroads and made a deal...not to be the world's best guitarist, but to have the dominant stage presence of a Mick Jagger, or a Robert Plant. Not that she is anything like them, she just has that level of command over that stage...and she's what? 24? 24 with 10 years of professional performing experience. She's just a legend in the making.

Las Wawas. More...More...more... You gotta hear "Queen of the Murder Scene". It's the title track of a VERY impressive concept album, that might as well be called an opera, about a young woman that falls in love, gets rejected, obsesses, loses her mind, kills her spurned love, goes on a killing spree, and is only finally stopped by Death himself. It's an absolutely brilliant and mature story for what were a few teenagers at the time. It's the most impressive complete album I've seen in at least 20 years, if not 30.

In fairness...Kirk Hammett spends a lot of time listening to Lars, so anyone probably kicks maximum ass after that. I kid. In all seriousness The Warning are truly the most impressive band I've heard in a long time. I'm kinda late to the Warning party as I've only really discovered them in the last year or so. But the last time I've been this instantly struck by a band's all around brilliance was when I discovered Jinjer.

I think it's great that she completely never mentioned his name in anyway because the whole reason he did his crime was to become famous. I agree with not using his name and I think they did a great job with the song. As a Canadian citizen in a nearby province to where this occurred I remember hearing all about this after it first happened. Can't believe it's been 12 years already.

when I discovered this band, it was with the song Jim Jones, which I loved, but the other songs I listened to afterwards never seduced me. When she starts doing ramtatatata or bing boing bang or lalalala like in this song, I'm much less trippy, it's just not my style. However, the fact that she's been using her real voice more often recently improves the material in my opinion.

hmm For me it's her bangers. Now, after about JWG's song, I like their music a lot less. It became much simpler and lost the memorable cool hard sound that was achieved by mechanically changing the sound. This was the band’s feature; no one else had this. And now... Eh.

Having seen then them live, I can testify they really do sound this good. Usually guitar heavy music gets muddy/overwhelming but not these ladies, it’s crisp and well placed, vocals are clear, bass very pronounced and the mix is overall really really good. The first time I heard this song, the high tones Dany had in her voice immediately reminded me of Ann Wilson from "Heart" as well... And of course that's a compliment. As you get to know The Warning more you discover that they have several styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!! And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very own opinion that with its structure, its cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings… All of this is masterful. The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication. There could always be other options, but the ones they chose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art. Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvement and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture. Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time. This is the youngest veteran band in the rock world. Without forgetting that there are only three of them, yes, but three true geniuses in their field. Melodically they are the best, without a doubt. They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the key changes, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song… INCREDIBLE!! The new masters of rock: The warning. I suggest you reactions to the omv "Automatic Sun" from the "Tecate P'al Norte" festival with great studio audio and footage from the gig at the festival. Also "Evolve" from the MTV VMAs will make you get to know better the 3 different characters that make up this tremendous band. But, in addition, any video of TW in its presentation at the Metropólitan is excellent in sound and image. For now I'm subscribing to your channel because I hope to see many more from you to my favorite band of all time. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️ .

I've got a new young band for you. Freeze The Fall. Guitarist/vocalist Quinn, 17, discovered The Warning when she was 11, and taught herself guitar by learning Dany's parts from Queen Of The Murder Scene. Jonah, 16, drums, has been playing since he was 7, is inspired by Joey Jordison. Aria, bass, 15, is inspired by Dream Theater and Bring Me The Horizon. A band for 2 years, they are already signed to a promotion and distribution deal with Canada's largest independent label. They just released their first ep, Thrones. Recommend checking out Daughters Of Witches.

I like and appreciate that you DO put effort into trying to decipher the meaning of the songs. If you decide to react to another song the The Warning's "Keep Me Fed" album, you could also react to DPA's (Dany, Pau & Ale) brief description of the song and how they created it. from recently created videos on their THE WARNING channel to go along with each song. It would be interesting to see if you are right. You were not far off, it is about the music industry and touring. The many people dream of being in a band and touring, and while they LOVE performing and interacting with the crowd, they also mention that it is hard work and hellish at time.

This song is actually about stage fright. It was inspired by the stress that Paulina and Daniela feel before a performance. I say those two because it is known that Alejandra (the bass player) never frets before a show. While one can say the song has applicability, in reality it is about stage fright and the stress that builds up before a performance. The hell is that, the pressure to perform, but knowing that is part of the dream life they are living
