Thank you!! I had this song randomly pop into my head this morning and I couldn’t figure out who sang it. Google was no help. And my father has passed away so I couldn’t ask him! I took a guess after all my other attempts failed and thought “maybe it was Connie”.. and it was! Thanks for posting this memory. - Sara G

From 1:31 - 2:44 those background vocals get strange and tinny Some words after are inaudible I’m starting to think this is Ai generated
@raikex2691Күн бұрын
I wouldn't say AI generated, this is too concise and was also uploaded at a time before AI generated music sounded a tiny bit as good as a studio recording. I would say that the person who uploaded this (or whoever they got the file from) put it through an AI stem splitter and turned it from mono into stereo. Another possible explanation could be a hefty amount of noise reduction, as this may be from vinyl or cassette.

On the one hand, I can see how making "I guess I'm dumb" the focal line was a turnoff for the Beach Boys, and maybe for audiences. Kudos to Glen for realizing it was an odd but beautiful song. Just an astonishing vocal performance. And for Brian, an arrangement that anticipated 'Pet Sounds.' An underrated treasure.

Not really, artists like Louis, Duke , Ella, Billie, Ray Charles, Chuck, Little Richard, Bo Diddley etc. were loved by white and black since the 20s, don't blame the white race for radio DJs, dumb comment, Spector was white, Ike got his start producing black artists for Sam Phillips in Nashville, correct?
