    Couple questions you put the tint pretty high, is it true if it’s all the way up it can peel back? Maybe I just can’t see the small gap you left at ty top of you did. Also, what do you think is acceptable for dirt, the little white spots, after when tint is done?

  • @fastlanecarcarellc3608
    @fastlanecarcarellc360823 күн бұрын

    @forgivemylaughter it will 99% of the time only peel if it is overlapping where the bevel of the glass starts. Me personally, I shoot for as close to no gap as possible, and sometimes if I'm bored, I'll file the tint but that's a whole other conversation. If you're just starting out, ⅛ of an inch is a great goal. Close enough that it looks good but low enough you shouldn't have any peeling issues. As far as contamination, I shoot for 5 specs or less in a window BUT that also depends on what it is. Dirty old 200,000 mile farm truck, not a chance. Brand new car, definitely do able with practice and the right cleaning steps.

  • @forgivemylaughter
    @forgivemylaughter23 күн бұрын

    @@fastlanecarcarellc3608thx for the info. Got tint done and was told it’s industry standard for some contamination specs to show but I’m seeing a dozen or more on 2 to 3 out of the 5 windows done. Rear is okay not many but the back doors and quarter panels look to have too many imo, I’m going to be going back and asking for it to be re-done. The guy even admitted there was another car getting work done in same garage with cleaning etc and it caused more particles but that he was able to get it to 90% but 80% is considered standard for windows. I felt pretty fuckin pissed inside when he said that because I thought bud I came here to get a professional job I could do a shitty job with contaminates at home in my drive way. I let it go and thought I’ll monitor after it drys, 2 days now and I’m just feeling uneasy about the amount of tiny white spots. I know I can’t expect perfection but there’s like 3 large clusters on 1 window. And lots of scattered around on others. Professional’s should be able to get this done much better. Hopefully they acknowledge it when I show them and fix this shit. Is removing tint to get it redone an issue or is it pretty easy to peel it off, I also don’t want them damaging anything.

I think it's much easier to learn bottom loading BUT it also helped me be an even better two stager. So now, it really just depends on the car. If I'm in a big hurry and it's a something I know I can two stage faster than I can pull sweeps and bottom load then I do that. No. You can shrink and cut the film on the inside. That would be a nightmare. You cut and shrink on the outside and then install inside.

    I've always wanted to try window tinting, but I think I would get to anxious or in a hurry when things weren't going right and ruin it! I don't have the patience for it. You guys that can tint are worth every penny you charge.

    Thank you! It is definitely easy to get flustered. I have found that the more you try to fight it and "man handle it" the worse it ends up. I had to learn patience the hard way. Lol

    @@fastlanecarcarellc3608 yeah, I'd have it waded up in the trash and then get on Facebook looking for local window tint recommendations.
