I wonder if any of those cars with 'chutes have ever run down a drag strip and popped the 'chute. Probably just for show and may not even be functional.

I remember a time when the Shifters greaser car club was the only guys found hanging out at the end of the dragstrip. Listening to doo wop music, drinking beers, hanging out with their pretty girls, they were fun to watch

I was a young man when I bought my first set of smoothie wheels for my 1979 square body GMC step side truck. Drove that truck with the chrome wheels wide tires for 14 year's. Gave that truck the right look. Everyone like the look of the truck it had the right stance.

Either that is a 34 or its a 33 with 34 hood sides. 33's only had one hood latch

The grill appears to have a slight curve to it, which is '33. The '34's had a straight grill. Perhaps the car came without a hood. Also, the mechanics of a '33 hood are a little more complicated, making the '34 an easier install.

... no, not powered with a slow traditional flatty, 90 to 140 mph travel speed along the german autobahn is more easy in a sbc or ls3 ´´´´´´

@@matt.docondor6099 how about a SBF like a 302 or a 351 Windsor. I have Windsor in my fox body mustang and for being just a stock bottom end with machine work done to a set of ported and polished heads which they are port matched to a Edelbrock Victor JR. Intake with a 500 lift summit cam and 600 Holley double pumper and MSD ignition sure makes the Mustang go. I love Windsors and Clevelands they can make some power. The 302 347 strokers run really good as well which I am building for my 30-31 Model A Coupe on a 32 fame. It's going to look nice when finished.

Ganz interessant zu sehen, was da 2009 auf dieses tolle Oldtimertreffen gebracht wurde. Vieles davon sieht man auch heute noch in Hattersheim. Die ganz alten Oldtimer hatte ich allerdings in den beiden Treffen in denen ich dort in Hattersheim war nicht gesehen, die sind vielleicht schon in Museen gelandet. In jedem Fall sehr interessant so einen Rückblick zu sehen und die alte HQ-Qualität verursacht noch keinen Augenkrebs ;-)

I am from PEI Canada east coast we have a car show in king county pei brudenell 4klm from Montague 2klm from rodds brundnell river recort hotell it's called car show shine with about 250 cars and about 50 half ton truck Avery kind of make and model from 1940esto mid 70es of cars and trucks and a few old motorcycles Harley Davidson Norton's Indians real old ones to enter 40dollars that encloudes one rig and to people also 3meals a dance with a live band on Saturday night at the curling club in Montague it start Friday evening ends Sunday evening the awards are Sunday there even a big Field next to the show where you can park campers and trailer truck for healing your old auto here Montague is a small town with lots of places to eat there a booze store grocery's. Store and the island very pretty red clay lots of beeches the car show is first weekend in July and it's always pretty warm that weekend but there could be rain but maybe not lot of mopar cars come take your auto and wife and friends and if you don't have a rig it cost 10dollars to walk a around and see the all the auto on Saturday and if you are just walking around Sunday you still have to pay 10dollars I am not sure how much for children.come and enjoy lots of vendors t shirt waxes and parts for cars and trucks.

Oh, der Moderator des Events war damals schon aktiv ... den habe ich im September 2014 schon beim Saisonabschluss der Retro Promotion in Ludwigsburg erlebt. In Rüsselsheim war ich erst im Jahr drauf. Toll zu sehen was vor 10 Jahren da war. Den VW Käfer bei 4:39 habe ich 2015 definitiv schon gesehen, das Video habe ich erst zusammen geschnitten, der Leichenwagen bei 5:00 ebenfalls. Schön zu sehen, dass es auch Fahrzeuge dabei hat, die schon so lange erhalten und vorgestellt werden. Vielen Dank fürs Teilen!
