Hey Spring Chicken

Hey Spring Chicken

I am in my early 60's and I love watching all things beauty on KZread, but there is not so much content for “mature ladies” (or men) so this channel is especially for you guys.

When turned 50 I found my self-esteem and self-confidence were beginning to lag. I also found myself becoming invisible when I was in public.
I decided to create a web site heyspringchicken.com a KZread channel (of the same name) & Pinterest, where I could help (not just myself) but hopefully enable all women especially those over 50 and 60 to feel as good and as healthy as they can.
This technology is new to me but I feel that learning new skills and by sharing what I have learnt will help me and you in the longer term.
Using my previous background in Beauty we will review beauty products, film tutorials and all things beauty. 💄🥰

As children my sister and I were given a teaspoon of this stuff weekly. It was pretty foul, and we got a sweetie afterwards For my age, 65, my skin is doing pretty well and my hair too. Sadly my sister has passed away so we can't check, but her skin survived her determined tanning regime pretty well.

When you showed the before pics and then went to week 9 I literally said "Wow". I can see great results there. Your skin looks much firmer. Your face is more contoured and your neck looks fab. Have you tried the teatowel trick for the double chin? Not saying you have much there, we all get a little lax in that area after a certain stage in life - menopause, the gift that keeps giving!! Ugh! I've seen a few videos on it but haven't tried it yet but it's free and worth a shot imo. Must give it a go myself as I could really do with it. Wish I had the budget for those treatments because I think it was worth the investment. You look fab Cordelia.

A marvelous discovery,, using Castor oil in conjunction with an infrared sauna is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Castor oil is very thick and sticky and does not absorb as easily as other oils, but if you spread it all over your body (face and hair included) it is absorbed super fast and you’ll even have to put more on while in the sauna if you stay a full hour (which I do). Try it once and judge for yourself! Make sure it’s organic and from a glass bottle. Fantastic,!

If you use castor oil at night for the oil cleansing method, you can still use your SPF and other products. To oil cleanse, you put a decent amount of the oil on your face at night and then spend at least 60 seconds rubbing it in. The oil will “lift” dirt and other impurities from your skin. When you are done, get a good sized washcloth (mine are terry cloth bar towels from Amazon) and get it wet with warm water. Use the cloth to “blot” the oil from your face and either let it be or dry your face with a towel. Your skin will be non oily and super soft in the morning. And yes I’ve used castor oil for oil cleansing. I am a heart patient and am not steady on my feet and there was a time that I had fallen not once but twice and really banged up my face and gave myself two very black eyes. The nightly oil cleansing with castor oil took away the black eyes _very_ quickly. I was shocked.

One thoughts on this product: the smaller size may mean ingredients don't degrade before it's used up, and the affordability of it compared to the others maybe means a wider take up for theses budget critical times. As you wouldn't use it daily at first this might be the perfect one to start with?

I use it every day and will continue. It also fades my age spots but that’s a slow process. I also use it on the top of my hands to fade age spots. I just picked up the Revolution Balm Glow nude at the drugstore yesterday. I love Wayne Goss. He just understands our demographic (I'm 54). I was looking for a more affordable alternative to my beloved MAC strobe cream. It is not a replacement because it won't go over powder and strobe cream will if you are careful to pat it in so I'm glad I didn't pay Jones Roads prices for it. I think I will like the balm more in the winter and and I think it's a terrific lip gloss/conditioner. I also think the nude would be good mixed with another cream blush, if you didn't want to invest in a whole set of balm glows. I mixed it with a cream contour and it made a great cool toned bronzer. I also think this is the rare knockoff product where the packaging is actually better. I love the little tin. It's so cute and goes in my purse. Also it's easy to open where a lot of tins aren't. The other revolution product I really like recently is the eye serum! It's like five bucks in the U.s. at the drugstore and has no irritants. It soaks in fast. It's really improved my undereye in a just a few weeks. I find this brand hit or miss, but the hits are really, really good.
