  Thanks Terry! I think x3 gooseberry bushes have succumbed to fungal disease 🥲 One of the raspberry patches may be relocated, as well as some stay currant bushes - towards the woodier bottom end 😆

  Lovely update my friend. If you dig over an area and keep it weed free, you can then move some of the fruit bushes during their dormant stage so they are manageable and weed free. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.

  Love the T Shirt, those were the day's. I use lime as a barrier or coffee grounds or blended egg shells to help with the slugs, all good for the soil and wildlife. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.

  How do you use the lime? In a ring around the plant? Never thought of that. Does it affect the acidity of the soil though?

  @blumblam4813 a little lime won't hurt, especially on brassicas and yes a circle.

  Thanks Helen! A lot of New Zealand plants do really well here on the Cornish peninsula. Now I have the allotment for veggies, I'll be adding more ornamental plants in the garden. Will be interesting to know what you grow 🌞

  Garden in the Southern Hemisphere, have been gardening since I was 10, now been reasonably self sufficient in vegetables all yer and most fruit. My children have grown, but no Grandchildren yet, have been gardening in this garden for over 30 years, just before Christmas added a 6 meter tunnel house, so am learning a new way. Soon will be winter here.

  Also your shed is amazing!!! Sooo clean and tidy! I didnt have one on my plot but I have ordered one and its being delivered on Friday… i cant wait to have somewhere to sit and relax with a cuppa.

  @janiceh3995 p.s. Shed was there when I arrived. The lovely lady that had it before left it in tip top tidy order. I'll be giving it a good lick of paint come autumn time (once resident bird has left), plus installing a tea and biscuit tin corner!

  Great video! Looking forward to see everything growing! I just got an allotment in April, my first ever one, so im not sure on what I am doing, so I will be following you and watch what you do. Its lovely seeing the children with you, I wish I had got an allotment when my two children were young as they are not interested at all ( ages 26 and 27 now ha!) although I would never had thought back then I would be interested in having an allotment! I look forward in seeing your next video!

  Ahhhh, a fellow new allotmenteerer! First time I've had my own allotment, but I've helped look after other people's (for the levy of cider) and tried bits n' bobs out in my garden. I have to admit my tweenager isn't particularly enthralled by the idea of an allotment, so I have to sell it as a 'writing shed' (all great writers have a shed, right!?!) and the promise of snacks (win win!). Hope it all goes well for you and please pass on gossip 😜

  We have agapanthus growing right along our front picket fence. Looks so pretty when all in flower but gosh we have to thin in out each year…it’s a tough ‘ol plant! You did a brilliant job of tidying up..a well deserved drink! Can I just say too, I love your gardening outfit 🌸🪴🌿🌼
