    Hi, thanks for your message. The receiver you see in this video is not water proof (splash proof yes, but must be protected from submersion/condensation). They are designed to be located in a winch control box to protect completely. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Many thanks, Winchmax

    Hi does the wireless remote only work on one reciever or work with other recievers. Looks like my reciever is faulty but my controller work fine with the wander lead. Do I need buy controls and reciever or just reciever. A bit annoyed as the winch has only used twice but had it over a year now 🙄

    Hi, I am sure customer services has resolved this by now, but the transmitter is coded to the receiver (and cannot be recoded), so if the link is damaged or lost then you would need both receivers and transmitters I'm afraid. It is still best to get in touch with customer service to see what they can do (it is worth returning to Winchmax if you are in the UK, before replacing to see if they can repair the link).

    I have a winchmax two speed winch with Dyneema synthetic rope , so far my rope has been pulled out of this little holder twice, i made everything according to the Installation Guide. but rope simply get out of the small holder and then the winch rotates into empty and does not pull.no way to make that the rope is tightened and does not rotate on the drum.

  • @winchmax1646
    @winchmax16464 жыл бұрын

    Hi, Thanks for your message. I am sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your winch, I would be happy to help. This video shows just one of many methods to secure a synthetic rope to the drum of a winch, this method should enable the rope to grip the drum and prevent any follow through to the drum terminal. It is very important that this is done as tightly as possible and that the first 6 wraps are also tight, as it is the tightness of these wraps that creates the fright to allow the pull. It sounds like this may be the problem? It would also be good to add a cover to the rope to increase friction if you are really struggling with the above? It might be best to speak with you, please send a direct email to Winchmax ([email protected]) with your phone number and I would be happy to call you. Please call our office on 01986 899254 if you prefer to talk to us directly. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Many thanks,

    Hi, Thank you for your message. What you have described (intermittent function) in usually caused by voltage drop. This can be caused by a corroded terminal or more commonly by a bad earth. All 12v/24v winches need an earth direct to the battery (a chassis earth is not sufficient), this is always the first thing to check as its the number 1 installation error. Please let me know what you find and we can go from there. Perhaps give me a call when standing in front of the winch - 01986 899264, I would be happy to help. Thanks, Winchmax Team.

    I used my Winchmax today to pull out a tree stump and it stopped working. It has hardly had any use. The solenoid clunks like its engaging and the spool free wheels OK but it won't run. It also has a different wireless/cabled control system. Please see the listings on www.winchmax.co.uk to see all the differences. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Quick question.why did you say it's for recovering vehicles from 3.5 to four tonnes when it's rated for over 6 tonne?

  • @winchmax1646
    @winchmax16464 жыл бұрын

    Hi John, thanks for your question. Most electric winches are rated to the 'maximum momentary pull' this is what the winch can pull on a test bench for a few seconds. As time increases and all the variables change, this decreases dramatically. The usual rule of thumb for electric winches is to times the weight of what you are pulling by 2 to give you the rating of the electric winch you need. Essentially this all comes down to motor duty cycle. Please note that hydraulic winches are rated differently as they have no duty cycle, they can pull the full rated amount every time. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Many thanks, Winchmax Team.

    Very Late Reply Apologies - Yes, the Winchmax remote kits can be used to operate any winch solenoid (make sure you choose the correct voltage remote kit for your winch, as some are voltage specific). See here for remote kits: www.winchmax.co.uk/product-category/all-vehicle-winch-accessories-control-systems/

    Hi. Can you tell me how to connect an X9 Superwinch to a Winchmax Solenoid? I just need to know what wires off the winch motor go to which terminals on the load side of the soleniod, I have been informed that they are compatible. I can't find a schematic anywhere. Also, I'm using a Superwinch wireless remote setup as the Winchmax receiver didn't seem to match up with the number of wires. Cheers
