Brean not bream that photo of Brean beach looks like it was taken from the top of what we call the rock that sticks out into the sea and you can see Weston the other side. Good WW2 embattlement's at the end of the rock defending the Bristol channel. You can also get a good view of Steep Holm and Flat Holm the 2 islands out to sea. They used to do boat trips around them when I was a kid from Weston. Watched many starts of the Severn Bore from the Carpark at the base of the rock. I really wouldn't advise walking out at low tide under any circumstance I've seen many lose lives and cars be swamped. Keep away at all costs no exceptions it will suck you in. Rivers Axe and Brue are good for local river fishing.

I drive over the bridge regularly in a lorry so get a good view. Some days it’s like a mill pond, others there are conflicting, currents everywhere. Looks very dangerous when it kicks off.
