I might not be a noob any more, but my channel is dedicated to new and intermediate lock pickers. I discuss techniques, review tools and pick lots of locks. I am a tool designer who works with multiple manufacturers including Sparrows Lock Picks, Multipick and Wendt. Happy Picking!

I shouldn't have to say this but do not pick locks in use or locks that are not explicitly owned by yourself unless you have the express permission from their owners and that they understand the risk of damage picking may cause. ALWAYS keep it fun ALWAYS keep it legal. Don't make picking a crime.

Hey, that was an awesome video.Do you know where I could buy one? Because I lost my gun case.Key three times cost me $400.00 locksmith. I"m in United States. Thanks
Ok
That thing would rake open (dimple rake) in a second.
Great video Ash mate what odd Abus👍😎🇬🇧😊👊
Yale also are making Cheapo locks too. Well chinese junk branded Abus.
The cheapest Abus I can find around here (in an allegedly rich country) is about £2.30, but it's not that red variant, just a tiny brass thing that looks like you can rip it apart with your bare hands. In fact, that's how I've seen many of the Abus padlocks here opened - they've been cheap and flimsy, and didn't even need picking or cutting.
Topkey in Lithuania sells these for just over EUR 4. They also stock other Red Line locks.
we have abus locks at work....i stopped bringing my keys and just use my trusty pick now haha...its lighter than the 5 keys i would otherwise have to carry lmao....its more fun than keys too haha
For locksmith
Looks like ABUS just wanted to cover all the market. Have a great day, don't believe in a Name, believe what you see !!
I'm still finding it hard to believe that they're genuine LOL. Great job Ash and thanks for sharing.
They're all doing this these days. Squire and Sterling are outsourcing a bunch of crap locks to China to be made dirt cheap. Must be a good reason but it certainly reduces my faith in these brands.
Did you say it was the "Red Line series"? Seems appropriate. Almost a don't buy label?
Those are sold in Poland for about 25PLN (~6 EURO/USD)
found one on a Slovakian page for ~8€ but also on a Czech page for 25€ 😂
The very highest third world standard.
Amazing
gosh what a lock and yeah it seems to be highly peculiar. great video as always.
I see so many positive comments about this video. The Title states "Impressioning and Decoding a Tubular Lock to Make a New Key" when it is NOT IMPRESSIONING a key... this video shows only how to DECODE and CUT a Barrel Key. Thanks for mislabeling your video sir, now how do I get my wasted EXTREMEL VALUABLE time back from you?... THUMBS DOWN... Sorry!
I really want lishi to make a pick for the Bi-Lock
I get making your own tools...it's part of lockpicking. But when you make a tool for a very select type of Chinesium locks that saves not that much time...release the design for free, don't sell it 😶 lol
You could cut the excess off the handle end of all those picks, so you have six double ended picks. Then you could either put them all in the plastic handles knowing that you have pre-prepared spares of them all, or you could sand them down to 15 thou so you can have both thicknesses of all of those picks. Cool set. I might consider it.
Lishi is probably the most revolutionary thing to happen to lockpicking in the last century
Nice lock. I wonder if its been used on a cell door of some sort, with what you called the inside actually being the outside.
How easy is it to decode on that little half wheel though?
Once the core turns, the sidebar will hold the discs in place, so I imagine you decode like you would with any lishi
How much is it ?
nice lock, great picking/gutting. have a great day
you didn’t read the small print; it resists picking and prying under a tow load going down the highway at standard highway speeds! at a rest stop you will lose your trailer when you are peeing
Considering getting this or the RWB. The Silver Bullet is way too expensive, but I do like versatility. Any other suggestions?
#90 is a load of malarkey! I was stuck on a lock for a whole day, and after I'd had about 4-5 drinks, I was able to pick the lock multiple times in a row in under 20 seconds. 😂 Granted, I am a beginner and it wasn't a difficult lock...
Lishi picks are amazing, I got into picking about 30 years ago and these in my opinion have been a game changer. All the best from Yorkshire mate.
Very cool, Lock Noob!
Nice vid, Is there anywhere you can recommend getting picks in the UK?
First!
I'm new to picking and I've had a bit of difficulty picking my abus diskus because of the narrow and obstructed keyway. I'm pretty inexperienced with anything other than master locks, which I've managed to open every one I've come across. I've only recently started picking stuff outside of master and I have come to realize how bad master locks really are.
Don’t buy his things his return policy is bullshit He does not return the items that he sells you. He over prices them says they are so good but then you receive them and their flimsy don’t work worse Lock I’ve ever used
Who are you talking about? What lock?
Thank you! I did it:) kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZ1slayfZK-rmco.html
How can you tell which side of the lock is shackled ?
How do I know they are all at the shear line and I can pull the tool out without them all moving? Is it just visually seeing them all level, or does it make a sound? I can't understand how you know when you can pull the tool out to open it.
Я бы приобрёл себе такой сет. Интересный вариант.
Well I guess I'm getting rid of my master locks on my gates and utility buildings! That's so easy that i might as well have no security locks on them at all! Are combination locks any better I wonder?
My first pick set was actually a bundle it was a Southord mpxs-20 which you can no longer get along with a set of auto jigglers and a snap gun reasonably priced but that's been a bunch of years ago
Sorry I missed your live I don't get notifications for some reason for much of anybody anyway having holler at you in a minute but thought I'd let you know I have two of your cylinder holders and one of your pinning trays that a buddy of mine made for me from your software for the 3D printers
I appreciate your courage in pressing on after your injury. 🇺🇸
Oh I missed the live sadly 😢
No worries!
Sorry, I missed you live- but I do get to be the first comment. You always do a great job.
Thank you !
I really appreciate the fact that he was still objective about the whole thing. Regardless of how crappy they might have been, he still came up with situations where they could be useful
I appreciate that
A great review and demo as always! Thanks for taking one for the team Ash. Take care mate and have a great week.
