You know as a kid watching NASCAR in the early 80's I was not a fan of Dale at the start, my driver was Cale Yarborough. Then when Cale retired in 88, I was like I needed a new driver and one that drove a Chevy, Dale was the most likely choice & I was a diehard fan of his till the end. Just think they filmed this video in 1992, Dale still had 2 more Winston Cups left to win & the Daytona 500...

I HATED it when everyone jumped on the #3 bandwagon - it was so much better when 2/3 of the spectators booed - When everyone started buying 3 tshirts he had to be nicer - That sucked

That's Brook in the background. Jeff Gordon's future ex wife. She was a Winston girl when they met. Turned out to be a gold digger. 😅 Looks like her face is going to break, holding that smile so long.

I couldn't get enough Nascar back in the day, and these races were a Godsend. They would start around a week or so after cup would wrap up for the year and go almost up to Speedweeks.

Wow, it's been 30 years since this commercial was airing! Matter of fact, I actually have seen this commercial while rewatching 1994 NASCAR race replays for their 30th Anniversary, using the original race dates to know when to watch each replay.

All us short trackers back then only wish we had access to vids like this of Mr. Ray Dillion himself, a STOREHOUSE of chassis knowledge back in in the 80's & early 90's. (Not just anybody had access unless you were Mark Martin or a customer.)

The late 90s/early 00s modified races were awesome, particularly the open races. There was a three or four year run at RAR where the Fall Spectacular modified races were SO good.

This was my first in person NASCAR race. The Glen is a really cool track. Too bad that it's so dangerous, because it's a great road course. They even mention my hometown/home track Oswego NY at 51:14 where Bodine ran the Labor Day race there in 87. My dad worked safety crew at Oswego Speedway for 30 years, and I raced there the last 2.

Sorry to hear about your struggles matt, life can be an uphill battle that's for sure,I echo the previous comments though,if you are able to exercise and get out and about some, then that may help you, atleast mentally, The channel is really excellent by the way,it's good to see a face behind the channel, could you maybe have more of a presence on your channel? Discussing racing in some way or another? If not monetarily,it could keep your mind occupied atleast? All big channels start small after all and can end up far reaching (I'm in the u.k) I'm pulling for you matt and I hope you get sorted in some way,you seem like a decent person that deserves a break, Thanks for what you do,

Try to get out and walk around brother. I was dealing with the very same issues. The only thing that helped me was exercise. We all love of your videos. You're the only one who does it and you do it best! You gave me the opportunity to look into the past and watch my father race when I thought there wasn't any more races of him on film. Thank you for doing what you do Brother!

Hello! I use to go watch my grampa Ken Gifford race at Lakeport every week as a kid. I was wondering if you had any video of him. He drove a 86 stock car in the 80's and 90's I believe. As well as a yellow 86 Pro-4 and 86 Late Model in the 2000's. Would love to see some footage of him racing again. Thank you for time and content.

Its crazy looking back at clips of the 90s. It looks so old now. I grew up in the 90s. And i remember a whole lot. I remember the box tvs that looked like wood with the knobs. We even had a black n white one at my grandparents house. Using the antennas and putting tinfoil on them to make them work better. Playing my super Nintendo and sega. My rock uncle that was into Metallica and stuff like that with his long hair. My other uncle with his tack suits he liked old hip hop music. My aunts that listened to a lot of the old music like the Beatles.
