I just want to say - years later after you made this - that I applaud you for getting the Reds history correct. Even the franchise themselves (and their fans) mistakenly get their history incorrect by claiming to be the oldest franchise. Props to you for outlining the confusing (but correct) history of Cincinnati baseball.

I am still bitter about the North Stars leaving Minnesota. Not because of the team being gone but because the North Star team name was so awesome and unique. I will admit that the Stars also work perfectly with the Lone Star state.

Cleveland Naps( tribute to Nap Lajoe). Fans were asked in 1916 for new name upon Lajoe's retirement Overwhelming choice was Cleveland Indians. A tribute to Nap Lajoe and Louis Sockolexis, a native American Indian who passed away from an off season work accident earlier in the century. New owner Larry Dolan in early 2000s promised fans he would never cave and get rid of Indians name nor our beloved mascot Chief Wahoo. Sadly his son took over operations in less then 20 years, stabbed loyal fans in the back with his woke decisions and canned both name and Mascot. To this day, loyal fans refuse to call them anything but their beloved name, the Cleveland Indians...affectionately referred to as our Tribe!

That OKC "logo" is an insult. I've seen several fanmade logos that would fit better. Erase the basketball lines and it looks like a logo for a gas station or something. They didn't even *try*. (Also, Clippers updated and thank god they went away from that knock off mid-2000s EA Sports thing they were keeping.)

I feel for Min loosing the North Stars. But the Stars have gained a massive following in Dallas, and the name “Stars” was fitting for Dallas. This city has produced tons of stars from movies to music to sports. Also playing along with the cowboys theme and another Star.

The problem with the NJ/NY Gotham is New Jersey not getting any recognition without New York in the name. - Gotham refers to New York City (i.e. Batman - Gotham City) - The Statue of Liberty 🗽 is physically located in the State of New Jersey - The team's stadium is physically located in the Town of Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey - There is NOTHING New York about the team I'm sick and tired of New Jersey always playing second-fiddle to New York. And don't get me going about the Red Bulls, Jets and Giants.
