I bought one for my Sub, sold it on ebay a week later because when I worn it with my watch, its the worst feeling of all bands I’ve tried on. Not comfortable at all and if you have a bigger wrist than 6.5”, this band is too small for you.

I ordered this watch from my AD in October 2023........still waiting. Its a watch I am going to wear for my life and never sell so I am content to wait as long is it takes. Not going to pay 3-4 thousand premium for it. I am fine with waiting. Hopefully wont be much longer. Great show.

Cool video and I agree with all your points. One thing I like about this watch is that it’s very easy to use as a timer because the minute indices are so prominent it’s very easy for timing things - just need to remember the start. Not many people mention this.

No. The temperatures needed to weaken loctite would cause burns.

Great details on the lug width and shaping of the new 42mm variant. Glad Rolex didn't replace the iconic bezel. This watch model is probably their most timeless design. Still looks fresh and contemporary today as when it was first introduced. I just ordered an homage version of the Explorer II 'Steve Macqueen'. That face and dial design is most definitely vintage Rolex. But still lovely.

if they are messing with size and decimals - 36.9mm, keep the 20mm lugs and calling it 36 would have been an absolute win and they wouldnt have needed to even make the 40

I bought the FXD for the same reasons - I hated the 39s sunburst dial. I like the FXD because the dial is matte, the case is dull gray, and the strap bars grab me - as a kid, I loved those old plastic fixed bar Timex watches. I missed not having having a chronometer grade movement - I’d sold two Black Bays, two Explorers and a Submariner because as much as I liked aspects of each of those watches, this is the first one that doesn’t feel tarted up with things like: glossy dial, polished metal surrounds, shiny case, shiny bezel. I don’t like bracelets or spring bars, or putting leather bands on dive/tool watches.

This is why so many people are buying AliExpress watches. But hey, I recently spent $3200 on a Cannondale bike. While that’s not considered expensive when it comes to bikes, most people I know think I’m crazy spending that.

You could've easily have solved the issue by filing a claim with UPS, which is the recipient’s (you) responsibility but you didn’t. And you waited half a year to contact them about it, which in itself is highly suspicious, video of you unpacking it or not. They even went as far as offering you a discount for the next purchase if you chose not to file a claim with the shipper. But no, you thought your time and effort was better spent on making a video to try and tarnish a company that is well know for quality products and service. I am one of their customers and I vouch for them, along with very many others out there. You deserve to get sued for this. Totally out of order and uncalled for. You’re the type of customer that every company dreads encountering. You need to fix up and grow up!
