Alyssa Santos: it *is* "I'll flag, I'll fall, I'll falter..." -- as a verb, "flag" means to lag, to lose momentum/force of action; hence, why it is followed by the words "fall" and "falter". Enya's Irish-Gaelic accent makes it so that a number of words she pronounces that are English sound like other words (this also occurs occasionally when she speaks in Latin, et al...). In this context, she's just affirming that although she'll "flag...", she'll still keep going, following whatever path destiny has in store for her... ;)

Doing my best to write it out phonetically for you, so that you can pronounce it, something like this; O ee-ha go hee-ha maw hooras naa skelta nach may a hee - ach (the "ch" is pronounced in a "guttural" way - as you would pronounce it in the word "Loch" - a Lake that you would find in either Ireland or Scotland). Hope this helps!

I have always loved this song and thanks for the lyrics! I've always wondered what the words were where she says "Far And Away". Never would've been able to figure that out, it always sounded to me like they were saying "Our Underwear". When I asked other people they never could tell me either. So we started calling it the Underwear Song!

I listened to Enya growing, thanks to my dad who did. and omg lol I always thought the music was in a foreign English. Not all, like I knew Sail Away but the a handle of her songs I always thought were in an exotic language! It's her style of singing, beautifuL! Ooooh... So that's the lyrics! I first heard this song during a musical Kata (it's like a dance, but with martial arts moves) and while I could sort of tell it was english, I couldn't concentrate hard enough to register the words because I got so caught up in the beauty of it all! Danke! 5*
