Depends on the country here in switzerland for a lets say 3.5x7.5x1.5m standard pool with a finished tub it starts at 40k (CHF) around that but with all the landscaping that has to be done and with added attractions to the pool like counterstream turbine it gets very expensive very quickly. Some of our most exclusive projects are well over 200k (i am a landscapegardener/pool-constructor/technician)

We had building codes that limited the depth. In order to go 12' deep , the pool would've had to be much, much longer and we didn't have space for it.

It has a filter pump that circulates the water.

It's hard to tell because there are a lot of variables. (pump speed, chemicals, filters clean or dirty) It'd say it circulates in 6-8 hours at normal speed. It was pretty cloudy after heavy rains the other day and after backwashing, the pool was clear in about half a day.

But is the circulation of the water good enough? I didnt see any waterjets smh. Biggest problem with a pool shaped like this, is the watercirculation i reckon. I bet there ere a few Dead slots where the water isnt moved enough by itself. @Ron G

I’ M thinking about purchasing one of these but the cartridge is very expensive. I was wondering is it worth it? Does it last a while? Can you smell it everyday? Is the fan noise very loud or unnoticeable?

It's very quiet, a little like a white noise machine but not noticeable. It'll depend on your ears and where you place it, though. You can smell it every day. How long and much you smell depends on how long and fast your run the fan for. You can program it to run only while you're home or all day. The longer it runs, the shorter the cartridge lasts. I wish the cartridges lasted longer but I think nose blindness play a factor in it.

I captured an image every minute. At the very beginning it was 30 seconds but I switched to 1 minutes after the first day or two.

Nice looking pool, but with that being said - don't understand why you didn't install the self cleaning pop-up heads? My pool is 40 ft x 35 ft, with a baja deck, and jet heads throughout, along with other amenities. But I had self cleaning pop-up heads (26), installed during construction, and that was best decision I made! 👍

We didn't know about them and our builder didn't mention them. We have a dolphin robotic cleaner that we're really happy with but the jets seem nice.

I new I wanted the self cleaning heads from the beginning...so once the builder and I completed the design of my pool. The pool builder sends the design to the manufacturer of the pop-up heads - A&A Manufacturer's. Their designers place the heads precisely where they need too be to clean the whole pool...both the floor and surface. The pop-up heads come up from the bottom of the pool. I've had my pool 5 years, and I've gone out zero times to clean. 3 mins roughly a week to clean silk socks & check chlorine level. Living in Az, this self cleaning system is a blessing!! Bottom line is...your pool is nice looking, and if your happy with it - 👊RESPECT👊
