    Unless you have superior personnel, this is not the kind of offense that you ordinarily stop. To do so you would have to stop 4 different ball carriers. One of them will always have at least something of an opening.

    It's like the triple option without stretching the play towards the sideline. The mesh between the QB and other backs is so hard to follow at times, I had to rewind repeatedly to fully absorb the play. That's the whole point of the Triple Spin, I assume.

    I'd send the end downhill on that running back no matter what ever play and ring his bell continuously.

    We run a similar offense at the youth level out of a single wing. We don't pull the guards at this age, but it doesn't matter. Simple GOD - Gap on Down blocking works at youth exceptionally well and I have often wondered if some deception vs well schooled defenses without pulling guards would throw a wrinkle into the mix - deception is the theme of the spinner O after all. By the second half in most of our games we are letting our lineman run the ball because we are blowing out the opposition. It works exceptionally well at the youth level, albeit with a simpler playbook. Kids can learn this style of offense along with traditional power/wedge running attacks. It is a lot of fun and has opened up a few pass plays off the misdirection that we have had success with at an age where pass plays are few and far between...

    Allbiznessboxing, you can have your players do that but then you're counting on everybody succeeding at a 1-on-1 tackle.

    We run the wingtee at our high school. Two seasons ago Coach added some new stuff cause he had a QB that wasn't very fast but could throw well. So he put in Wingtee Gun. He also ran some direct snaps out of the Singlewing. This year he is going to be running the same traditional wingtee he's been running all these years. Plus some winggun & Singlewing cause he has a good 4Back who can also throw. He is also adding "The Spin" not sure what type of spin I would assume out of the Singlewing.

    He can step forward when the ball is in flight without penalty which is what he is taught to do.. False start was never called by any official since I started running this offense. Thanks for the comment

    False start on majority of the plays. Qb can not take a step toward the line of scrimmage. Great offense

    Absolutely, so few teams do this but you have to do it to avoid the big plays. When the QB comes out of the backfield selling himself as the ball carrier...., lay him out! The one or two times he actually has the ball you will prevent big gains.

  • @ShortpunterCoachLewsinglewing
    @ShortpunterCoachLewsinglewing12 жыл бұрын

    Correct... But only the very disciplined LBers can do that at the HS level. We didn't see many, most are watching the mesh.

    used this single wing in flag football for my little guys this year. it was beast, and gets a lot of players a chance to touch the ball. this was important beacue we are trying to encourage thes kids to keep playing. and they ALL want to run with the ball. I combined it with an inaudable hike...

    Some NFL team should try that sometime just to see what happens. If the Wildcat works why not try something else like this.

  • @vanityrose12
    @vanityrose1215 жыл бұрын

    thank you......but what i don't get is why everyone want's to call it "the wildcat" when in fact it's just a single wing-t offence....you can always tell when people don't know football because they say that it would never work in the pro's but the fact of the matter is that any system will work as long as you know what your doing.....and have the tolls to do it
