It is sad that a legacy, a vision of a positive future, could be bought by money minds and converted to a perversion of greed. Star Trek is a future philosophy, with equality among races and even interplanetary races, ... if they exist at all. (At my age, I'm most hopeful.) As Gene said, "...Humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day it begins to positively value diversity and value life in ideas ... to be different is not necessarily to be ugly". Common, CBS, Grow some!
God rest Richard Hatch. Q’apla!
its a damn shame we never got this i was so exited back in the day when this was being done, prelude got me bricked up and then CBS/Paramount came and ruined everything. Then what did we get, disco which had hands down the worst star trek storyline and some absolutely terrible ship designs.
I see they brought in the actor who portrayed Captain April in the "other" fan film? Cool.
IMO Para and CBS aren't interested in the art. They're more interested in 3 things, money dollars and wealth. With maybe a side dish of control.
anyone else get the feeling Axanar is a total con.
and of course, asteroids are mostly thousands of kilometers apart...and most are to quote Asimov's first novel title PEBBLES IN THE SKY.
Are you every going to release this so call axanar film
No
When is the movie gonna be finished?
I need to watch this movie today. WARP speed while still inside the Mutara Nebula?
Ainda aguardando lançamento aqui no Brasil
Oi gente
Is that SkyDiver in the background? Previs #2 looks HORRIBLE. Have the Ares roll 180 degrees, then pitch up 180 degrees. That will give you a much smoother transition. You can also do the pitch up first, followed by the roll.
My parents held many scientific...research and education...national science offices. . I, languages and literatures background, have read and viewed sci fantasy 65 years... We love science fantasies...but we can distinguish reality enough to know where humanity is failing to be realistically rational, scientific in the broadest sense. As senseless as miracles and superstitions. We recommend reality and fantasy where contextually appropriate. And interstellar craft would ALWAYS be out of visual sight, even of their own FLEETS. Naval nonsense. Navel fixation. Too bad the literal infantile and the speculative adolescent levels dominate our species. Perhaps as long as we are on the planet...centuries, millennia...could be millions of years. High tech gone FOR EVER and a day. Planet polluted, places radioactive.... Will superstition conquer science and reality? of course. We can prove science NOW...TECH IS EVERYWHERE. YET even Now...billions deny reality...even...VACCINES. I leave no hostages to history...brother and I decided in '60s.... no kids. Sister has one...high honors math/physics, Harvard...masters same time. Age 19. Her grand kids....should she be so foolish...MUST suffer horribly. Gold means nothing when your neighbors want to 'Krusti Noone Gnome Soylent Spectrum' you for din dins...and to feed their LIVING serf dogs. Miao.
Moreover. chemical and plastic will be on or near the surface will remain...geological period. No organic life...certainly the only kind, in the universe...can travel interstellarly. If there were 2 earth mass planets in our orbit, with or without life at the Trojan Points...equidistant in orbit...WE COULD NOT TERRAFORM OR REPLACE alien life...incompatible with OUR proteins etc. IN TIME.
A beautiful fantasy. Too bad space exploration is nearing the end. When oil and gas are largely depleted...refills, a geological age, as with the mineable concentrations of elements resulting from plate tectonics, And after much of the sulfur-polluted bituminous coal is burnt...non recurring, even geological time... no more satellites. Then, no more mining. 500 years, end of complex machines. Only anaerobic conversion of cellulose and lignin...wood...from charcoal into coke artificial coal...will smelt AND only the metals on the surface ALREADY will be available.
Man you have been trying to make this film for 20 years so far. Why don't you just give it up and admit you spent most of the money to support yourself and 10% on production! This has been a ridiculous amount of time to make a fan film!
No not 20 years and 2 x 20 mins
We could have had this instead of DIEscovery
They who fill their diapers daily with their DEI defeatism, would scourge the own faces in the diversity of the _STAR TREK_ universe! Perhaps, they revisit "One Million Years B.C" instead?
When is the film getting released?
When people stop giving them money and the gravy train stops.
According to the settlement, the movie can’t even be released. I believe it has to be less than 15 min and can’t be more than 2 episodes, so a total of 30 min. They also can’t bring in paid actors, or any actors that have appeared in any other Star Trek shows or productions. I had super high hopes, but I’m starting to feel like we’re being strung along. Make no mistake, THERE WILL BE NO REAL MOVIE.
When the Sus Domesticus takes its next flight.
When is this coming??
Continuing the fine tradition of Federation ships NEVER FIRING THEIR PHASERS ENOUGH.
When will we get some Star Trek ? It’s been now 25 years without Star Trek…
another one of these dipshit comments
@@novastarmew And what are you? Some modernist dork who believes that any second class artist can just name drop some random star trek terms in a series and shit on Gene Rodenbery's legacy?
@@Beef1188 some of the best Trek happened when Roddenberry was pushed aside

OK - June 13, 2024 - we're waiting - but not holding out much hope...
Eu estou aguardando com muito carinho a seria
I despise the way this is shot as if the ships are not in space at all, but in some kind of liquid medium
Great work and yes, Discovery sux😅
There are many Christians who love Star Trek. At one point we seemed to get away from fiction. The Star Trek universe, like Harry Potter is a beloved place of great storytelling - that's where Discovery totally dropped the ball. They refused to tell great stories and instead made activism the priority. Star Wars - same problem.
Looked great but the plot was dumb. Better to have had them fight.
I have been. Waiting sooooooo long.
This is the very definition of Art. Brought to us by individuals of true passion. May all of you live forever.
I am waiting.
OVer 5 minutes of casual talking while being attacked from the rear. Who wrote this crap?
10 years later still holds up...
Since there is no orientation in space, why are the engines always on the bottom?
The Four Years War. The reason why Axanar could not be allowed to compete with Discovery. Shame that Discovery forgot that The Four Years War was supposed to last for even a whole year.
I’m getting fkn sick of star trek these days EVERYTHING takes way too long. Everything before 2005 could make 26 episodes a year. Now we are lucky to get 12 every 2 years.
Production costs have skyrocketed (compare CGI now vs 10 years ago), and the streaming model doesn’t encourage long seasons (or shows having more than 1-2 seasons to attract new subscribers)
@@artembentsionov they had to use models in the old days and still managed to make art they don’t need cgi and can’t make art
@@NeoakiraIV viewers have higher demands now. 60s style quality isn’t going to cut it for anyone but a minority of purists
@@artembentsionov ds9 still holds up today just on acting alone people now a days still love a good story and good characters over flashy things but companies trying to capture that marvel phenomena spending so much on cgi with no payoff heck this video still holds up today
Man, those D-7s must have been rolling 5s and 6s. And, if you get that reference, give yourself a pat on the back for each volume you bought.
Looking forward to seeing this! It's been a long road to get here!
It's about Time😂🎉😅
Cheesy junk food and Mostly H2O. LOL!
I would loved the history channel explanation of the battles. I wish we had a ton of them like that!
Nice, it looks amazing
This should have been made but all we got was woke discovery
Yes.... god forbid there should ever be anything but white men in Star Trek. How dare they!
@lptf5441 i didnt realise tos and nxt gen ds9 enterprise voyager only had WHITE MEN in it i must rewatch them all
@lptf5441 i didnt realise uhura, sisko worf tuvok mayweather were all white men i need to get my eyes checked
This is stealth woke.
@@keith-gl1kc The WTF are you on about mate???
Has a follow up to the Axanar episode been produced or proposed? It would be welcomed by me…
Got shut down by paramount
Paramount had to shut it down and placed strict restrictions on fan content after the main guy making Axanar got rich off crowdfunding
A bit more than that, the reason he got so much was so many thousands of trek fans who were excited about and believed in this very impressive project. And Peters WAS making it. Mid production he learned of the lawsuit. Do I think he got too ambitious for a fan production? Yes. But IMO paraCBS' s over the moon reaction was far far worse. They could've worked WITH him, but their executive arrogance prevented it.
Did this movie ever come out?
Good stuff 👌
Great document
SO the whole time the two Federation ships did not fire once?
CBS is only allowing them to make short clips. They won't be allowed to release a huge movie or series. This is dead in the water once they picked up STD instead back in the day
Wow! I LOVED this video (or as Woody Allen would say, "I LERVED it). I'm a cinematographer, so I love all peeks BTS. Somehow I missed this one when it was first posted, but better late than never!
