I went to college else where a small university with a student body of about 5000 and I had an amazing life changing experience. I never would have experienced it had not done these three things. 1. Get involved. Clubs, Professional Fraternities, and research opportunities are great way to network and connect with people. They will also help build on your resume and land you your first internship. 2. Study. Like actually put the time into understanding and test yourself on complex concepts. You should study six to eight hours per night. Always remember ACADEMICS ALWAYS COME FIRST! 3. Plan social events with your clubs. This includes parties at semester end. If you’ve aced the class thus far along with midterms you can slack a little and let loose. Most finals are 20-30% of your grade meaning you can bomb it and still land an A or B. I’m not going to say it’s bad because it’s not. College is the one time in your life where it’s socially acceptable to go out with friends and go to parties or go bar hopping. It’s okay as long as you do it responsibly. After college, you’ll never be able to do it again accept during bachelor/bachelorette parties. Try to focus on the concept of minimizing regrets. This can be taken two ways. Both are correct. THERE IS A HEALTHY BALANCE!
